Anyone in Glasgow received theirs? I'm east kilbride so I probably won't get my phone til closing play tonight
I'm waiting on UK Mail delivering to Burnside. The website says 'at delivery location' and the bussinesspost link states 'Security Scan Out'. I called UKMail and they said it was out on the van for delivery. What I don't understand is why their website doesn't say this.
I hate the waiting!!

Apparently now on a van but late on their schedule due to late arrival at UKMail. Sounds like it'll be Monday for me.
iPhone 4S : Screen not as white
Just bagged a new 4S!
When sat side-by-side with an 18 month old iPhone 4 with the brightness on full, the 4S screen is slightly yellow (all over) and not as crisp white as the iPhone 4.
Anyone else noticing this?

Same "security scan out" for Northampton. I called them up, it's out for delivery actually even though their tracking says otherwise.
Just cut it up, if you can? I'm going to have to do it to my O2 sim

rofl... I'm wondering that myself... The previous iPhone voice control wouldn't understand the way we say 'mobile'. I had to really emphasise the 'i' otherwise it wouldn't pick it up, had to say 'Mob-EYE-le'. Urgh.
The detailed business post tracker posted a few pages back (use the consignment number from the UKmail track results) shows it scanned on to a van and the name of the person doing the scanning - maybe the driver. UKmail website says it's still delayed/scanned out.
Yeah, some of the pre-release reviews have commented that the screen has a more greeny-yellow tinge than the 4,

I think it's a completely different process for understanding a Scot's accent.
Grumble.... UPS have just delivered to my work place but he didn't have it with him. Showed him the UPS tracking info too - he was surprised it wasn't on his van/delivery schedule.
I was told the same on the phone, seems they are doing their best to catch up with the delay. Now, if they could deliver mine first please...
According to UPS mine was out for delivery at 5.41 this morning. I'm in Norwich.
I am at home waiting with two dogs, who keep barking every single time there is some sort of noise outside, making me jump up. They know I am waiting for something and they always do this, the little beasts - but so far nobody has come to the door. If I wasn't sending out "I'm waiting for something exciting" vibes they'd be asleep on their back with their legs in the air.

Northern Ireland Update: If you're wanting to check your order, go to www.ukmail.com, enter the tracking number from the Apple tracking page into the 'By Reference Number' and it'll show you progress.
Eventually one of these bloody notifications will be off UPS, Delivery app, or the person at home..(or the dog)
Yup. Mine not yellow but rather colours have a green tinge and are quite dull/washed out. If i didn't own an iPhone 4 however i wouldn't know. Its an ok screen but my iPhone 4 blows it out the water. I feared this would happen. Shame really cos its a brilliant piece of kit otherwise.
What to do now...return and buy another? or try to get it exchanged at a local Apple store which is next to impossible because them lot are right tits. Hmm...

Just cut down your existing vodafone SIM card to around the brass chip thing (150x120mm) and insert into the SIM tray. It should work. Or else, wonder down to the 3 store and pick up a pay as you go SIM. Although I am pretty sure, it'll work as an iPod even without the SIM (at least the 4 did when I bought mine unlocked from an Apple store when it first came out). Good luck

But the UPS man would never get in the gate if I did that. And the racket they produce if someone approaches the house is enough to scare anyone away !One of them is camped out on the doormat for me. He's the advance warning.
Just as an aside - I surely can't be the only person to notice that Apple products and packaging have a distinct smell to them. It's the smell of "new", but only Apple things smell this exact way. I have to say I love that smell. It's a happy smell !
