Siri isn't understanding my sheffield accent too well!

Changed it to the woman because the man was a bit weird lol

I think the bloke's voice is the same one they use for VoiceOver (accessibility feature) if the language is set to UK English. I believe he is called "Daniel" and he has some weird pronunciations. I've got a friend who posts to Facebook via his blackberry and Daniel insists on saying ".... via Black BARRY." P*ssed myself laughing when I heard that for the first time ! :D
Every time I see that friend I ask how Black Barry is....

Are you on 3 by any chance? The carrier settings remove that option for 3, as they don't want you locking the phone onto Orange's network (they pay roaming charges for that). The other network operators should let you turn off 3G though.

Thanks for the heads up - bit annoying if you want to save battery life!

I just checked my tracking on TNT's website. It looks like mine was delivered at 9:10 this morning. It should be waiting for me when I get home this evening. :D

I feel like i'm the only one who upgraded through Orange on here. Their twitter help team say that all pre orders were dispatched yesterday, yet the customer services team say otherwise. I hate being in the dark. Customer Services support is fairly awful, if their twitter team are right.
No info, no tracking, nothing. Horrible when all of you are stoked about delivery and it being on the back of vans. :(

Thanks, but nope, Im on o2.

Bit annoying as I normally have Wifi signal at home/work. And in most cases where I dont have Wifi, I have a stronger signal on 2G than 3G. Seems an unnecessary waste of battery.

Money laundering? Surely Apple have a duty of care to 'know' their client...more on this later...

It's not against the law for Apple to restrict to 2 phones per person, but they can decide to do that. They could decide not to sell to any members of a gang exploiting the system if they choose to. This is probably the first time it has happened so there were no procedures / guidelines for employees in place. Hopefully next time they will have a clear strategy to deal with it.

The problem is mate, with a queue that long, they're already rushed off their feet. They don't really have the time or manpower to start questioning everyone, to find out if they're with said gang. How could they prove it? The last thing they want is to keep people who've been waiting there all night any longer. Put yourself in the position of the management. What would you do? Your bosses are telling you to get this dealt with as quickly and efficiently as humanly possible, and you want to begin an investigation about your 200+ customers outside.
It's a nice thought being able to do something about it, but in the real word, it's just not feasible to do it at that time.

If it's a gang, you have to ask yourself where did they get £150k from? Drug dealing? Robbing? Extortion? Protection? Whatever it is, it should raise alarm bells that money laundering may have been taking place. Buy 300 phones, and sell them sometimes at a premium overseas. Ignorance is no defence against money laundering. This HAS happened before and it's a well known issue which Apple will have to deal with sooner rather than later...

All they have to is stop taking cash on launch day though.
