Micro SIM - HELP!

Hey, did you hear the one about the guy who got a new (unlocked) 4S and then realised his SIM wouldn't fit?

Aaarghh!

Serves me right for spending a couple of months with a B****Berry between my 3GS and this one, I suppose.

Anyway, does anyone know if any of these "cut down your old SIM card" videos are reliable?

Why not just request a MicroSIM?

Jut disable mac filtering on your router for a minute like you said. No big deal.

It's not as if it's something you do on a regular basis.

Thanks Daneoni, I'm looking into that. Is it really as easy as they say it is? ie Walk into a Vodafone store and ask them to switch a regular SIM to a Micro, and they just blip your numbeer across?

Obviously, I'm keen to get my iPhone activated today...

You have to activate.but you don't need wires/USB as it should come with ios 5 if you follow instructions (simple)

How do you activate it? is it done when you plug it in to set up the phone via itunes?

Yeah, basically. Might take a couple hours for the number to transfer from the normal sim to the micro sim but other than that it's quite easy. lol.

(at least on O2).

On a seperate note.

I have to ask this as its got on my nerves being a reader of this and the other UK based threads on this board but are most of the posters, adults (18+)?

I ask this because alot of the posts seem very child like and at times very stupid. This is a serious question, I am not trying to troll.

Take the questions about micro-sims for example, why not check with the network? or have it prepared before you even receive the 4s? O2's microsim can still be used in it's standard sim casing till it is snapped out so if you were using the 3GS you would be fine then on the arrival of the 4s snap out the micro-sim and place in the 4s.

Common sense I feel is required

Invalid SIM

Is anyone else getting a Invalid SIM message? this happens every hour or so,. and the only way I've been able to resolve this is to restart the 4S,.

What issues have you had?

Im hoping to get my Iphone from Apple next week and Im on 3. I'll need to swap to a micro sim - they told me on the phone i just need to go into one of their stores, pick up a microsim and it would be done within 24 hours

Little bit annoyed ..

UPS had my delivery down for Monday .. so I didn't cancel appointments yesterday to be in .. of course, they tried delivery yesterday lol .. now, on the order info it's saying by end of day TUESDAY!! Grrrr and slight *hmph*

And no, I can't collect it as the nearest UPS to me is 100 miles away lol .. hubby and kids have other ideas of how to spend a Saturday!!

On the upside though, here in Mid Wales the weather is beautiful so we're off outside for the day
