Im loving my 4s. However, there is a problem. In day to day tasks, the 4s is not noticeably faster than the 4 before it. I went 3G-4, so the jump was a lot bigger.
However, going back to the iPad and it's like being stuck in the slow lane on the motorway. iPad 3 please.

Can someone clear this up for me. When I get my iPhone 4S all I'll have to do is throw in any random micro sim to activate it and then it'll be good to use?

Missed delivery of my iPhone from Carphone Warehouse yesterday - they of course came during the one hour I was out...

Following the instructions on the card left for me by Yodel, I went to the depot. They told me the package was locked in a 'home delivery' van, and wouldn't be accessible until Monday. Not great service. And I wasn't the only one there in the same situation.

If you had a 4 then it's not a big upgrade, very minor.

I had a 3GS and it's a huge upgrade for me, everything is a lot faster and the screen is amazing

anyone had any luck finding a case that'll fit?

Thinking I might have to buy one over from america to fit my iP4s, my Incase Snap clear doesn't fit, nor does my bumper. :(

What issues have you had?

Im hoping to get my Iphone from Apple next week and Im on 3. I'll need to swap to a micro sim - they told me on the phone i just need to go into one of their stores, pick up a microsim and it would be done within 24 hours

AFAIK for 3 you just go into a 3store and they use a sim cutter on your 'big' sim, you just throw your new cut down sim in the iphone and go, no waiting for the sims to transfer.

Is any network giving 12 months' data on pay and go? When I got my 3G and 3GS (when they first came out) they each came with 12 months' data free on o2.

Don't think any companies have made pay as you go iPhones available yet.

Can anyone on 3 PAYG check if tethering and personal hotspot is available please...still deciding whether to activate my giffgaff sim or 3 sim and this could decide it for me (yes I know tethering is not allowed but it would be limited occasional use).

Its available on my iPhone 4, not sure why it wouldn't be there for 4S.

Has anyone on O2 upgraded their contract early in an Apple store?

I have tried to get a clear answer from O2 several times and it would appear that monkeys are in charge of the phones and stores!!

Last night I excitedly whipped out my sim from my android, and realised it wasnt a micro sim. (arrghh)
Couldnt wait until morning, so a steady pair of hands, and a few minutes later, I'd managed to cut it down to size, enough to squeeze into the simcard holder.

So glad to be away from Android. The user interface experience on this phone is incredible.

And Siri rocks. Yeh, it cant search for business (yet) here in the UK. But all the other stuff works fine. No problems at all.

In the gym this morning, running on the treadmill, one little press, beep beep - "play some Nirvana", and Siri does it. Absolutely brilliant.

Hubby bought a black 32gb 4s in the 3 store in Telford today. Store was dead. Phone was in stock. I wouldn't mind but he only went in for a sim only contract!

I am sorry, if this was already answered in this thread, but if you order a 4S from UK store, will it be unlocked? If so, why the US store doesn't offer it until november?

Yes, if you order direct from Apple website, it will be unlocked. I did that and Im on Vodafone, it works fine. Dont know why the US has its restriction. Must be some overzealous lawyer team somewhere!

I sat waited all day for mine, like you. By 8pm last night, TNT still hadnt arrived. When I called the depot, they told me they'd given up delivering for the day, due to demand. So I drove to the depot and collected it in person.
Maybe you should call your local depot, arrange something similar?

Yep I have tethering on my £10 a month plan :)
