Same old 3 mobile, seems 2 years since I dumped them they've still no idea how customer service works.
Which is a shame, because I've been pretty pleased with the service in the first 3 days. They might have messed up despatch of my phone but at least they delivered it on Saturday, it was just unfortunate I was at work so had to wait until Monday to collect it from the sorting office.
If you need to contact them try Twitter - @threeuksupport - they take a little time to respond because they're working through all their tweets, but they do respond. If you've got a problem then they will hopefully be able to get it looked at. They were very good on Friday at giving correct information about when iPhones that should have been delivered would be- whilst CS and web sales were giving out dud information- which does rather beg the question why!
Couple of places on the train to work where signal drops out, but then O2 (2G) did that as well. I work in a big building, in certain places there are lots of walls between you and the outside- so if you're there coverage may be a bit patchy, but walk a little bit (maybe out of a room) and you'll get enough to use the phone. O2 you wouldn't have had to do that (unless you're down in the basement) but its a small sacrifice- the areas where I spend most of my time theres 3-5 bars and at home 5 bars, so thats great.
I'm getting between 1 and 5mpbs down (envious of those getting 11mbps!) and I've used over 1gb data trying out video streaming (Sky Go and TV Catchup) with mixed results- to be expected really, but not too bad at all. (Sky Player was terrible on Tuesday, but I sent some emails and spoke to one of their tech support people- might just have been coincidence but it was much much better yesterday.)
The phone itself is great, glad to finally get a iPhone! It saved me yesterday when the sat nav in the work van wouldn't work- was able to use maps to guide me. Siri is fun but potentially quite useful as well- and really very good in what it can find, it'll be even better once location based searches are available. I dictated a few texts to try out that part of it- and it didn't get too much wrong- was still probably quicker than typing. Feel like I've only just scratched the surface of what the phone can do!
