UK iPhone 4S thread.

Went and collected my 16GB white one earlier, the staff looked confused when I got there "we have no stock", they went away for 10 minutes and then brought one out.

Got my PAC code from Virgin mobile, will go into town to get the sim cut down so I can put it in the phone. Then on Sunday I will give the PAC to GiffGaff so I can transfer provider :)

any tips on reserving one I really want the phone now that my giffgaff sim has arrived :(

Use a Mac ;) It didn't show on my Windows desktop so :S and start refreshing at like 8:50... I reserved mine at 8.55

Having problems with GiffGaff site right now =/
 
Just out of interest Does anybody know anybody who ordered a 4s via companies like handtec, clove, expanys? The prices they are asking are ridiculous!

I wont be moaning about my 2 week wait with apple, thats for sure!

Do people really pay those prices?

I think its because they are adding gigabags which is like a sim just for internet on the ipad.
 
Just a daft idea for those who cant wait, like myself :p

I went into the 3 shop in Durham on Monday afternoon, and they had all models in stock.

I bought one on PAYG for £499.99 (Black 16gb) and cust service unlocked the phone for me within 5 minutes of switching it on and calling up 333 (shop wouldn't do it had to call up). Because it was a new SIM, they had to charge me £14.71 admin fee, but if you already have/know someone that has topped up over £30 or has a contract, it'd be free.

Anyway, I was in and out of the shop in less than five minutes, and apparently, there was not even a queue on launch day, so i could quite easily have went there at 9am Friday launch day and got what i wanted instead of messing about with pre-orders or apples weird reservation system.

Just an idea for the impatient ones like myself :D

im taking your advice, mac is on ready and waiting! got 8 tabs open ready for refreshing....

When you say you started refreshing, what page did you start refreshing on? Was it the page with the select iPhone option?
 
Reservations

If you're going to try and reserve ip4s tonight try also using the apple store app - it seems to work a lot quicker than apple website.

Or, use both!!

Also, my plan is to order one for delivery from the main apple store website, and whilst i am waiting 2 weeks keep checking back to the reservations page - you can always cancel you're apple order up until the point its being prepared for delivery - and even then you can always return it to an apple shop.

They weren't selling PAYG on launch day. I went in then and asked.

Eurgh this wait is annoying might be pointless if the stores i can reach don't get stock D:

Not that I'm too fussed now :), but was that the same shop you are on about? Because I did ring a few others round the area first (sunderland, washington and hartlepool) and they all still wouldn't sell any on PAYG on Monday, which is why i went to the Durham one.

The Three shop in the Prince Bishops in Durham?
