UK iPhone 4S thread.

I ordered a Speck Candyshell off Amazon. Looking at the picture on Amazon it not the newest shape looks like the case has gone through 3 versions, 1st had keyhole cutout for camera/flash 2nd was changed to oval shape for camera/flash due to problems with the flash reflecting now there is a 3rd version with a huge opening for the camera/flash its 30 quid on apple.com and just 6 on amazon. I figure if is rubish for 6 quid at least the phones in something, a think i'm gonna get an anti glare film as well.

You really are going to enjoy this.

If I had to choose between my (loved) MBP 2010 15" and my iPhone, it would be my iPhone. Ditto the iPad 2 versus the iPhone. The iPhone's the device that's always with me and hence the one that gets used the most for almost everything.

There's even an app for taking part in this forum (or any supported forum), too! (Tapatalk).

Anyone who has asked for a SIM has had it sent out pretty much within a couple of hours by Royal Mail 2nd class delivery. Not long now.

I'm still on Processing. Got confirmation e-mail at 10:53 and ordered via Apple App.

Nothing has gone from my credit card yet though, not even for available balance!

For my first two iPhones I religiously had a case on them. iPhone 4 came out and I decided to start with a cover, the cover broke, I decided to 'brave' and go naked apart from the free bumper apple gave out. I can honestly say that there is not one scratch on the screen (or the back glass)!! I keep my phone in my jeans pocket with my KEYS!! I was stunned there were no scratches!!

I eventually (because I wanted one) got a gelaskin for the back panel which I love - it has the apple logo cut-out! You can upload your own pictures to have done too if you like.

I just ordered a nice new one for my iPhone 4S

Yes, the blackberry outage couldn't have come for a worse time for them and best time for Apple!!(Q. What did one blackberry owner say to the other? A. Nothing!)
 
Looks like the rest of us are going to get our orders prepared for shipment tomorrow, or even later unfortunately.

I can't see them working in the warehouse beyond this time to prepare items for dispatch.

the warehouse is bound to be a round the clock affair around a release date

UPS etc work through the night. A lot of industries do. Driving trucks through the night is obviously easier than in the day.

Be interesting to know more info from the "prepared" users. Like where are you having it shipped to?

My processing order is to Warrington, Cheshire.

I got the proporta aluminium pouch from Amazon. and I got phonedevil screen protectors (for both front and back). All arrived today (with sweets! :p). Case looks and feels really good. Can't wait to try it out.
 
Someone's probably said this before, but just in case not, they're most likely being sent out in order of black 16, black 32, black 64, white 16, white 32, white 64 and will be prepared in such a way.

I went for Black 16GB and mine's preparing. You will probably all see your's preparing tomorrow, but that doesn't matter since they'll probably be all sent out at the same time.

What we do need to debate is when they're shipping, and, more importantly, where from. It looks like they'll be shipping Thursday night/Friday morning, but if they're coming from China, it'll be next week. However, if it's just from Apple's European warehouse in The Netherlands, then we could easily see them Friday/Saturday time.

also just checked the credit card I used and the money was frozen on friday and now its unfrozen which means they've not taken any money

Not true i don't think, a few people with 32gb versions have reported 'Preparing for Shipment', yet my 16gb Black is still sat at processing.
 
You beauty! I was only on here 20mins ago fearing the worst. My order 1xblack 32 and 1x WHITE 32 are preparing for shipment :D the delivery status has also changed to fast ship. Superb. Ordered on fri at 09:30ish via Apple pre order. Phew, relax and breath, I sure you'll be sorted too and you'll soon feel as good as I do right now.

Shipping tomorrow from Ireland is my guess/hope :)

Your status has only just changed in the past 20 minutes ?

If so, atleast we know they are still working ! ;)

The timings so far have been almost identical to the iPhone 4 release. In that case they went straight into next day delivery.

If things stay on the same schedule then a few people may even receive theirs tomorrow, but most will be on Friday.
 
Doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to the order of order processing, mine's still sitting at 'Processing' and I couldn't have ordered it any quicker the minute pre-orders became available on the website. Oh well, fingers crossed.

My black 64 is past the point of cancellation now :)

ordered at 8:45 on 7th emailed confirmation about an hour later

order says this now:-

Preparing for Shipment Dispatched: Ships by October 14th
Not eligible to cancel or return Why?

I don't think so. There is no rhyme or reason to the way they are processing orders.
