My order was completed on the phone because they wanted more info for the credit check. I haven't had any email yet.
Sorry if AP, but O2 announced a few hours ago that existing customers can pick up a nano sim from Tuesday 18th onwards. I'm definitely doing that so that I don't have to deal with there server issues on Friday! (when the iPhone 4 came out I couldn't text for 2 days!!!)

Probably because all UK chat is in the one thread and the Americans' chat is spread amongst a hundred different topics. I prefer our way though. Bit of everything all at once.

I ordered over the phone, was told i will definitely get it delivered on Friday, all good, once i hung up i realised that i hadnt been asked for an email address, other than my landline and postal address they have no means of sending me anything.
Didnt get a confirmation number or anything.
Im just keeping my fingers crossed

Has anyone pre-ordering with Vodafone had a confirmation email? I pre-ordered a black 32gb on the phone yesterday.
Phoned today because I'd had no confirmation email, they just said they'd been swamped with demand and there was a backlog with the emails. Just don't want to get to middle of next week and find out there's a problem. Also read online that Vodafone have a shortage of 32gbs, so a bit worried about that!

I've had this same problem with Orange. And they can't check my order yet either apparently.
Slightly worried as Orange on twitter are saying you get the email once its been processed and its 'first processed who get their iphone 5 first.' So i'm guessing mine hasnt been processed yet..even though its been like 30+ hours since i ordered...this is so frustrating! I wish I had enough money to just buy a phone off Apple first thing yesterday instead.

Over the phone they said that everything had been processed fine and that I would receive a confirmation text & email soon.
I don't want to leave it much longer to find out there has been some sort of issue with my pre-order.

So glad I ordered via the Apple store, and fortunately on 3, and have my nano sim. Feel for everyone having problems with their providers, been there a million times before.
I had a text off Orange this morning saying they're processing my order now and will be in touch with more info soon.
Too right, nervous waits ahead for a few.. Networks very quick to take the cash when people call in their thousands, but not so quick to resolve and allay people's worries.

No. Me neither. She took my email address though, so I was expecting something. Same deal as the other guys on here. My money has been put aside on my debit account but not taken.
I also would like to know what's going down because I want to change my plan. Shouldn't be a problem should it? I want to move up to the one plan as I'm an idiot and took the other one. Worst comes to worst I can just cancel and re-buy. A lot of hassle on everyones part so I hope they just change it for me before Friday.

Whats everyone doing about screen protectors & cases ? I'm struggling to find anything good in stock. Everything is a 3-4 week wait.
I was saying this earlier, about no order number. I think the reason im worrying a little is not having an email saying this is what you've ordered, this is your contract etc. More this than when it'll be delivered.
Finally a solution. I'm at work all day Tuesday. Do you think there will be plenty?

Just had a tweet from Vodafone saying the email should come through within 48 hours and then the order can be tracked.

I've bought an ultraslim pouch from senacases.com. I've had the same case for my 3G and 4 so seems an obvious purchase for me.
As it's just a basic pouch the case from the 4 will provide enough protection until the better fitting case arrives.
