What's everyone's thoughts on the T Mobile Full Monty plan? £36 per month, 2000 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited data. 64GB iPhone 5 for £269. 24 month contract.

Orange do he same deal but you only get 1GB of data.

Am I right in saying that there will be no difference in the level of service and coverage as T Mobile and Orange are the same company (part of EE) and they share each other's masts?

Would being on T Mobile mean the phone would always try to connect to a T Mobile mast or does it always connect to the mast with the strongest signal regardless of whether it's T Mobile or Orange?

I assume this is the best way to upgrade to EE in the coming months for 4G when Glasgow gets it?

Thanks

This is what I went with. Never been on T-Mobile before but upcoming 4G, unlimited data and tethering sold it for me.

T-mobile isnt getting 4G. EE is, and you would need to sign up to another contract which will include 4G at a premium.

Is anybody on Three in the south Coventry area, specifically Warwick University? Just ordered a Three SIM and I'm wondering what the signal's going to be like when I move there in two weeks. I don't really trust the online coverage map.
3's 3G signal is pretty good, never had any problems there.

Anyone heard anything from Vodafone regarding the nano sims

I just ordered one speaking to customer services, I got a tweet from them saying call or visit a store and they will give you one.

Went I went in on Friday the store said they wouldn't have any till launch day, but looks like that changed.

Got my nano sim and adapter today from Three, on The One Deal, or whatever it's called.

Going to move over to them from Friday, until whenever EE finally get round to launching, at which point I'll jump ship to them.

The woman in the 3 shop said that (because I need my number to be available until I get the new phone) she'd delay the activation, and that I could just ring up 3 next Thursday, and activate then, at which point billing etc would start.

Anyone know what happens if I end up deciding to stay with O2 until EE comes out, and just don't ring up to activate the 3 sim?

I'd double-check that 'activation' bit. I'm on giffgaff and hoping to stay with them with my iP5 but will need to cut/sand my sim down, which may or may not work - giffgaff won't do their own nano-sims for ages.

I wanted to have a Three one month contract nano-sim to hand in case I buggered my giffgaff sim and went through the motions of ordering one. I assumed the contract wouldn't begin until i activated the sim. The CS rep explicitly told me (and went off to check) that Three's contracts start when you have the sim in-hand, not when it's activated.

I backed out at that point because I understand their CS to be dreadful and couldn't face cancelling with Three (they 'need' 30 days notice also, so that one month rolling contract suddenly becomes minimum two) if my giffgaff cut-down works ok and I don't need Three after all.

Maybe it's different if you sign-up in store but they were very clear about online ordering.

Just sold my 16gb iPhone 4 on eBay for £260. Legit buyer and already have the money in my account! Everything about this iPhone 5 purchase is running so smoothly.. Pre orders have never been this way!

Now I have to survive without a phone till Friday!

£260 for an iPhone 4! You did well. I was thinking about £200 is all I'd get for my 32gig.

Has anyone ordered with HSBC and had issues? I ordered mine 8:01 on Friday and is 'preparing for shipment' but money is still in my account but my 'available balance' is less the cost of the phone so I assume it's not blocked? It's just when I ordered my iPad 2 they blocked the payment. Anyone had Any experience of them still doing that even after its gone to 'preparing for shipment'?

I ordered mine 08:05. My balance is full amount still, like yours, but available balance is the amount of an iPhone less too. However mine still says processing.

It was pretty much brand new. I had a fault with the mic in July and with apple care the apple store in covent garden replaced it with a new one..

That's payed for half my iPhone 5 so happy days!

That's because they've done a "pre-auth" for the amount, Apple won't claim the amount until it ships iirc

Nearly there! :D
Preparing for shipment:

Just to clarify on the money thing. I work for a company that sell online. When you make a purchase your payment is stored (or reserved) until the company release it. This is typically when the goods are dispatched. As long as you can see the money is reserved (ie not in your available funds) your good to go. If you are not sure call your bank and clarify.

This. Call your bank if you have issues with your payment. My payment got rejected twice, when I rang natwest up they said because it was a high amount of money, that they had put a temporary block on the card. 2 minutes later she got rid of the block and I ordered the iPhone! Banks usually have good customer service too.

Orange in store reservations

Hi

Has anyone any experience of reserving phone for collection at an Orange store? If so how quickly did you get at launch?

Am leaving O2 after many years as through my employer I get 20% on 'most' Orange tariffs so am am hoping I might be able to get this on the 5 next week........but this needs to be done in store and not online (as need to take ID/payslips). I went into my local Orange store on Friday and paid £25 deposit and they said they would call when model I want comes into stock on first come first served basis! I realise no guarantees on discount or stock but hoping I don't have to wait too long as need to post my 4s to O2 recycle around Thursday to get my £305 trade in price I signed up to last Monday!

Strange what plan have you got? They took off tethering on the full monty plan last month or so, it says tethering isn't included in its packages anymore.

Not sure about if you upgrade though, but if you just signed the contract then you won't be permitted to tether after 8th August.

If I remember correctly, once Apple have shipped the iPhones it often goes to preparing for shipment and once they reach the UK or Europe atleast it changes to shipped.

Here's me thinking that Apple are ahead of schedule and my delivery date gets bumped up from 1st October. Hah..
