This would be horrendous!

Non-UK countries to go up in size for iPads is the same price as for iPhones. But in the UK it costs more to go up for iPhones :/

Hopefully this is them turning around to go maybe £529/£599/£669 or something...

16GB £529.00

32GB £599.00

64GB £699.00

from UK site :)

There won't be sim only deals with EE for LTE. They will either not offer sim only deals or just allow you to access 3G data, read the fine print on EE.co.uk. The plan here is to make orange/tmobile handle older services and EE customers will experience LTE, if I believe so. Read there terms and condition and downwards:

4G: Subject to coverage. UK only. Pay monthly only. When 4G launches a compatible device and plan on EE is required. Charges may apply and you’ll have to agree to a new minimum term on EE. Other terms apply.

Just phoned orange!! - update

So I just phoned orange to see if they had stock of any Nano Sim cards yet.....the guy i spoke to actually didn't realise the new iPhone came with a Nano Sim (sigh) so they couldn't obviously send me one......but they did say that they are probably going to be taking pre orders for the phone tomorrow!! So they said if they are doing that, then for SIM only customers they could send out the new SIM card for us after that.

The guy also took my number and said he would phone me back if there was any other announcement, as he said i was very helpful (i knew more than him basically!)

Just a heads up for those wanting to order a Nano-sim online from O2.

Go over to the O2 website and us the "Contact Us" option at the bottom of homepage. Use the "Chat online" option. Put in your details and select the "Pay Monthly" option and be sure to select "Something Else" on the next option, or you'll be redirected to an automatic iPhone 5 page. Once an operator pops up, mention the following "I'd like to order a nano-sim please. Can you please tell me how I go about it?" or something similar. They'll ask for your details and security password, then confirm your address. Once that's all done they'll order one for you and tell you to expect the Nano-Sim in 1-3 working days. Hope this helps anyone who's wanting to obtain one before the imminent mad rush.

So use a credit card.

Will UK networks annouce their price plans before pre orders start?

Im in my 2month upgrade period with vodafone and will probably just upgrade and stay with them as they have been pretty pain free. But would like to see what the cost upfront is going to be on this on a 2 year contract at around 40quid a month.

Id move away from Vodafone if I was you considering it doesnt look like they will be getting LTE for the iPhone 5.

Sadly I'm tied into my contract for another year :( So will be buying this outright but stuck with no LTE

Same thing happened to me with the iPad. I'm going to use a credit card this time then pay it off right away.

Hmm i could move away from vodafone, was hoping they would offer a contract which would include LTE when it launched ?

Also the issue with moving would be that i would have to pay my vodafone bill for a couple more months as it expires on 2nd of November :(

If i was going to change to EE would i need my PAC code today or can i give that to them after i have ordered?

Is it orange that will have LTE?

They usually announce them after pre orders i think.

i dont have a credit card =[

will have to ring to see after i pre order and make sure its all gone through...

strange thing is when i orderd the 2nd time and had to wait 3 weeks... the 2nd time i tried it went through without a hitch.

the guy on the phone said its completly random on the checks... surely i wont be stung twice lol! (hope not)

No, you can't do contract upgrades on the UK Apple website, or in their stores i believe...

Correct, they only sell sim-free ones online and in-store in UK. I'm on phone line to Three..... /sigh. "All advisor are busy, we'll answer your call as soon as possible".

I'm with O2 on a monthly rolling contract.

Thinking of moving to Orange for 4G network.. Will Orange UK be up and running on 4G by 21st sept?

I tweeted to O2 about nano sim and they only mentioned nano sim available with new phone purchases. I then asked about existing users- no reply...

Thanks for the replies, im shocked at how incoherent mobile companies are being atm. Vodafone told me yesterday that the earliest the iphone 5 will be released is a month after the annoucement lol.

As much as i would love LTE ill probs stick with vodafone for ease and hope they offer a LTE addon once they launch it.

Out of interest anyone know how you would go about switching to EE? their website doesnt seem too obvious.

No their 4G wont. They are rolling it out and are hoping to have the cities listed on EEs website covered by christmas.
