So I ordered online on Friday morning round 8.30 am one black and one white phone in 32gb. I also ordered two lightning cables. My shipping date says 2-8th October. I can't quite understand why my order would have such a delay on it. Does anyone know if the cables could be causing this? Cheers.

Cancell the lightning cables and the delivary should move to friday, I orded mine at 8:20 and it was showing 2-3 weeks untill yesterday when I cancelled the lighning cable

End of year. Watch this space ;)

Source? Everything I've previously read says Everything Everywhere aren't relinquishing the spare two 15MHz blocks to Three until September 2013.

it's not worth switching to EE just for 4 months IMO. I'll wait until EE find all the LTE issues, then O2 etc can come out with a more flushed product in the new year!
The Ofcom auction isn't happening until early 2013. Then the operators will be rolling out the networks in mid 2013. Then the operators will launch 4G services to consumers later in 2013.

And when the other operators do launch their 4G services on the auctioned 800MHz and 2600MHz spectrum, the iPhone 5 won't even be compatible with it. But given how far away it is, odds are there will be an iPhone 5S/6 by then.

Does anyone else remember when O2 used to be the best network to be on years ago, and also the cheapest? And when Three were the worst and no one could ever get a signal?

Now look...

Yep! Given how many of us still have O2 on 30days rolling contracts from our original iPhones, they're really missing a trick and moreless forcing us to leave!

Tried to swap my wife's O2 SIM at around 8pm last night and the old SIM still hasn't deactivated.

I've got a feeling O2's service only runs during business hours, does anyone know?

Ordered Black 64GB from Three UK via Quidco on Sunday and not tracking on Quidco yet.

Quidco can take a LONG time for things to come through. I've had them appear 3 months later.

----------

For those thinking about switching to 3 (and after being on every network in my years there the one im most happy with) here are the speeds I quite often get on my travels.

Not far off EE's proposed LTE speeds.

Three won't show up for a while as its not an active order until they assign a number - I ordered over the phone Saturday (now waiting to cancel as I've got an in store pick up) and was told a confirmation email would come on Thursday night with all the details (choose delivery slot etc)

Just the phone. I'm a new customer to T-Mobile so my contract won't be active till i activate the sim. I'm pretty sure they don't charge a month in advance anyway. Can see it being a hassle getting my sim activated on friday with everyone trying at the same time. Might actually pop into a T-Mobile shop tonight and see if they will give me a nano sim (if they have them) and activate my account straight away. Don't mind being charge from today even though i don't have the phone yet, just to avoid the grief on friday.

Could you please let us know how you get on, i'm in the same boat as you :)

Shipping from Ireland?

My transaction from barclaycard is showing as charged by Apple in Ireland so I assume they will be shipped from Ireland and we won't see shipped status until tomorrow or Thursday.

If it follows previous orders, it's currently sitting in a warehouse in the Midlands, waiting to be picked up by a courier on Thursday. You won't see any tracking updates until they scan it into their system.

Yes I'm a new customer too, moving from Three due to bad service.
I usually order my contracts about a couple of months after the release, but because this iPhone is a couple of months later than my iPhone 4 i'm getting it on launch, so is it usually difficult to get your phone activated on launch day then?

I am used to being charged for the contract with the phone because I usually get the sim with the phone, I guess that's why it seemed odd to me, but yes that makes sense then! I will phone T-Mobile in my lunch break, i'm not meant to be on here now but it's all getting exciting ahaha!

My Three order tracked in Quidco after a couple of hours. Tracked at £75 which they say it usually does then it will adjust upwards!

Does anyone know if Three send an email that has your new phone number on it? Would be useful. if the phone is coming Friday, to get the number port in place on Thursday so the number ports on Friday. Otherwise I'd need to wait until Monday! Could I maybe get my hands on a Sim before hand in store or something?

Think i might change to tesco mobiles £10 sim only deal after all this nano sim shinanigans has died down. On o2 now and paying £5 more for basically the same mins / texts and less mb's!

Anyone got any experience of them? Im guessing as they use o2's network there will be practically no difference to me?

I've not got any experience of activating a sim from a new carrier on iphone launch day as i've been on O2 for years and they did the sim swap from normal to micro in store last year, but i seen a few horror stories online when the 4S came out of people waiting up to 3 days for it to activate due to the high amounts of people all trying to activate at the one time.

Hey so who has experience if a fresh order online as a new customer at t mobile? Although it still says preorder on their website I'm very skeptical as since ordering on Sunday afternoon and after logging in I get the message saying the order is being 'processed' by our sales team. Very vague and I'm left wondering if it's even close to bring successful and when I'll even get the thing. Any thoughts?

Give them a call. Mine was the same and it's because they want to phone you after an online order to "confirm to set up the account etc" and the woman I spoke to said they have more orders than they can cope with so haven't got round to contacting everyone yet.

Had a right **** on with vodafone UK to get a nano sim.

Web customer services said out of stock, finally called 191 this morning and apparently I will receive a nano sim in 2 days. Followed immediately by a text confirmation.

Wonder why the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing...

Orange took my money yesterday. I'm upgrading out of contract with Orange. Had the email from orange last week that came with an order number but cannot trace the order on any delivery website.

Apple always bills from Ireland even if the goods are coming direct from China, however I suspect that you are correct (as has been mentioned up-thread) UK iPhones are probably sitting in a warehouse either in Ireland or Hinckley (Syncreon).

LOL, no worries... I read it as you intended it to mean... Did not even notice:)

The Cribbs Causeway branch did not have EarPods in when I was there last week.... So that is a good sign at least.

Interested to hear what they say re cables... On train so not able to call yet.....don't what to be THAT guy.. "HELLO? HELLO! IM ON A TRAIN, YES A TRAIN.... HELLO? ...HELLO! DO YOU HAVE AND LIGHNING USB CABLES IN STOCK? .... HELLO?... HELLO! ....."

Everyone looking at me silently streaming "Shut up you Tw@"

Ahahaha XD

Well I phoned and spoke to a polite lady who told me they have no word on when deliveries will be made, making her personal prediction that it will be available on Friday, and asking me if I had tried the website. I'm going to keep trying, I really don't want to be in a position where I have to wait months for stock.
