Orange have now changed my plan, thethering is activated. Hopefully this is a good sign. It said somewhere that the plan would kick in when the phone was shipped and might start before I received it. I think.

Same with me on Orange. I now have tethering on my iPhone 4

I have tried 3 local O2 stores in N.Ireland to try and get a nano-sim and all three say they only have enough to provide with contract phones on Friday.
The online chat will not provide me with one either.
What an awful, terrible company!!!!
O2 simply don't want your custom unless you're tied to their new 24 month iphone contract.

Who here is upgrading from an iPhone 4S? I'm still stuck as to if I should go for an iPhone 5, or just a 4S given the price difference. I don't think screen size for me will really be that important...

I currently have a GS3 if that makes any difference.

Sena Ultraslim cases are great! I’ve had them on all my phones, and after seeing them family have bought them for their iPhones and HTCs too.

Your signature is making me think hard about my purchase decision! haha XD

Orange mist has decended...

I'm absolutely furious with Orange and their lack of nano SIM info.
The fact people are walking into Three stores, getting texts from Voda confirming their SIM has been shipped shows how it should be done.
If I see one more comment on Twitter from the Orange Helpers saying they'll have more info soon, I'll go nuts. Really hoping my local Apple store will help me out on the day with one.

Not sure how helpful this is but I'll say it anyways!

I ordered the same plan SIM with 3 on Friday evening (£12.90/month) and the SIM arrived today. I have the SIM adapter coming from somewhere else so I can't check if it's activated yet but I just checked my bank details online and nothing has gone through yet from 3 (although, because of the weekend I suppose that could slow things down) so, for now, it looks as though I've not paid as soon as I ordered?

Who really knows though? lol

10p should have left your account (or no longer be "available funds". I don't think the 12.90 will leave till next month on the bill date as its a contract!

Well Orange have taken the £139 for the phone out of my account as well as £50 deposit, which I'll be getting back in 4 months apparently.

Guessing this is just to offset the losses they get from people getting the phone then doing a runner without paying any bills?

I was one of the suckers that bought them on launch day, but then didn't want a bumper for antennagate!

I was one of the fools who got it on launch and ordered a bumper with the anntenagate program... then took the bumper off once it was worn out after 2 months of use to find it had completely scuffed the antenna up. Apple really failed with those bumpers.

Oh wait, have you selotaped it to fix antennagate? I'm quite lucky to have an amazing coverage on O2 in the North East, never noticed any problems with my naked phone.

I wonder what will be the 'Gate' of iphone 5 this year XD

My brother ordered some Earpods and they've just arrived in a UKMail bag, for what it's worth, in case anyone is pondering who may be delivering our phones.

Yeah. Obviously sellotape doesn't stop my hand from shielding the antenna, but it stopped the problem with it conducting with your hand that all the blogs exposed when using a coin to bridge the gap over the antenna join.

rolling

Ok money debited by Apple.....

Nano Sim obtained from Trafford Centre store no problems.....

Sim Swap Done and awaiting for activation.....

Decisions do I stay with O2 or join orange and await the EE tariffs?

Think i might change to tesco mobiles £10 sim only deal after all this nano sim shinanigans has died down. On o2 now and paying £5 more for basically the same mins / texts and less mb's!

Anyone got any experience of them? Im guessing as they use o2's network there will be practically no difference to me?

Yeah, i was checking this one out. Eventually i went for O2 £20 sim only, unlimited calls, and 1Gb data ... the thing that i couldn't find an alternative to with Tesco was the visual voicemail (and not sure if tethering was going to work ... tethering on Giffgaff seemed quite hard to figure out too) so i stuck with O2 as they're the only ones with good reception at my home.

FWIW, i read someone on this thread saying that they got my package above for £15 from O2, but i pressed two telephone guys quite hard on it, and they wouldn't budge a penny.

Anyone received the shipment mail yet? On my order it still says delivery on 21/9 but haven't received any news from the courier. I ordered around 9.30am on Friday 14/9...
