I went to Trafford centre for 4s and only got there about 09:30 think I wait for 3hrs. But I was only able to buy the less popular high end and higher priced :-(
model, so if you want a particular colour and model i would aim between 5-6am, but this was trafford centre so it will vary on location.

eeeek! do we really have to cut into the gold bit? I'm BRICKING it!

looks that way, what is the worst that could happen, just call up and say you lost your sim card and they will send you a new one... all will be fine :)

im worried now about T-mobile and their nano sims. I'm getting a sim free 5 direct from apple but need a nano.

Does anyone have any good instructions for cutting the sim down to size?

I'll be cutting a micro to nano. not sure if that makes a difference.

Thanks all.

Hoping the earpods arent amazing, i don't wanna be swayed away from my Gaga HeartBeats ROFL!

Was in the store the other day and they confirmed they have had people queueing overnight. If Orange had not properly screwed my order I wouldn't be queuing Friday morning! Hey ho - has probably worked out for the nest.

Iclarified has tutorials.

Apparently you can as long as you don't go into the centre chip part although I'm sure most of the main networks will have nano sims.

T-Mobile are being total gits about it, I'm going to be cutting like the chap above.

Listened to them in the store the other day - imho they are still crap. I have a pair of Phillips sports headphones (amongst others) that have absorbed god knows how much sweat and they still sound much better than the new apple headphones.

That's the first time I've heard a city with a population of 120000 as rural :) I'd get yourself to Princesshay for 6am. Last year I went to the Trafford Centre at around 8:15am and was a long way back in the queue. They did give out slips for those in the queue reserving a particular model. After 30 minutes of not moving I gave up and ordered on the web for delivery 2 weeks later.

Keep in mind demand for this iPhone seems to be a LOT higher than previous launches - wouldnt surprise me if people from the big cities travelled out to the smaller stores to secure a phone on launch day.

However - I'd get there at 5.30am for you - not much earlier than 6am but I think a lot of people will aim to get in for 6am so arriving that little bit earlier could be beneficial.

Decided to bite the bullet and take my Vodafone upgrade, but the 16GB has now gone to 2-3 Weeks delivery :(

Will go to Vodafone on Saturday and see if they have any in store.

Just got a nano sim from Lichfield O2 store, will do a sim swap later

do it by text, I did it online 24 hours ago and nothing happened, did it by text (as per the very helpful advice on here) 3 minutes ago and it's all up and running.

It will take a while for us all to park our tractors!!!

Really I was speaking to T-mobile live support on their site and they said that I will only get Wideband when I move over to EE, as it will be available when 4G is available. But then you can never trust that these support people actually know what they are talking about.

I asked for a HSPA+ coverage map and they sent me a link of the iPhone 5 specs and told me yes the iPhone 5 supports HSPA+ see here!

Useless support people!

I wouldn't listen to anything the live support has to say, they seem to be clueless. HD voice (wideband audio) works over 3G, thats how Three also have it. The link i posted gives a run down about it. Bit more about it on this link on there page, down the bottom left

Anyones quidco tracking for the 3 deal?

It's been well over 24 hours since I ordered and I've got a horrible feeling mine isnt tracking. Forgot to get transaction id too :( £96.88 isn't an insignificant sum of money

I can vouch for this. I originally used the website and nothing happened. Tried the text method and hey presto i'm up and running 5 mins later.
