Another case of not getting much from Orange. They gave me a TBxxxxxx reference number which doesn't track on any website (said they will send by UKMail - doesn't work there).

Was the same when I ordered my iPad through them and they stated I should get a text with delivery time. That never happened.

Be so much simpler if I knew when it would roughly arrive (so someone can be in for the delivery!) and not "upto 30 days" as they could only say on the phone. Ordered first thing on Saturday so reckon I will probably miss the first batch anyway :(
 
To give you some idea of when to queue up, I live in a small market town in Suffolk. I went to the o2 store in town at around 5am when the 4S was released and there where a good 30 or so people there already and around the same at the Carphone Warehouse
 
THey said transaction id was 8 digits though (starting with 1) and 3 wouldn't investigate cashback claims without it. It wasn't clear what this was or where you found it though

I think that information is out of date, old order numbers were eight digits and our newer ones are longer.

I'm just speculating with what I've been reading, it seems only a few people have had their Three order track with Quidco so far, with the majority being untracked.
 
I only intend to turn up at my local T-Mobile store at around 8am. I have reserved the phone and I understand they'll be a queue I'm not really bothered as long as I get the phone at the end.
 
I wonder if we'll see any movement on shipments tonight / tomorrow morning. All of the ones being delivered Friday must be already be in the UK now as it would be too late to start shipping from China.

if they're shipping from Europe we'll probably see them ship tomorrow otherwise Thursday.
 
The one they gave you with the pre-order is for use of their website. Once they've shipped they'll give you a proper tracking number, said all of this in the e-mail. :p

I know, I have the email with my own tracking number. My order still reads as being readied for dispatch, so I've had no additional tracking numbers.

My assumption is that PaulyD is using his pre-order tracking number on UK Mail's website, which is why it doesn't work, hence me posting the link to Orange's tracking page.

They will have come in one big batch and are sitting in a warehouse waiting to have labels applied and to be scanned into the courier's system. You won't see any movement until that happens, assuming it's the same as the iPad 3 and iPhone 4S.
 
If I join the queue at Regent St at say 6:30 am (can't get there much ealier because of the trains) am I pretty much guaranteed a phone?

Yeah, mine still says the same. My order according to the tracker thing was finally done at 8:35 and that was managing to bypass the whole "maintenance"/crashing thing.

My guess is that they'll start shipping from wherever Orange is holding them ransom ready to be delivered friday :p
 
Think i might change to tesco mobiles £10 sim only deal after all this nano sim shinanigans has died down. On o2 now and paying £5 more for basically the same mins / texts and less mb's!

Anyone got any experience of them? Im guessing as they use o2's network there will be practically no difference to me?

I've done the same except gone to Vodafone as my Dad has the sure-signal for his business phone so I can log into that. Have had experience of Tesco and it's been v good. They use O2 masts, lovely customer service and good value for money!

Nobody can tell you that with 100% certainty.

However, the one launch I queued for (iPhone 4)... at my local O2 store, there were people there from 3 and 4am.....

With a store like Regent Street, I imagine there would already be a huge queue by 06:30....but their stock level should be suitably large....

Think I will give them a call shortly just to make sure they haven't messed it up.
 
No mine hasn't tracked either, I'm pretty sure the "transaction ID" is just your order number (mine begins with 15) so should be no problem there.

I just called 3 and cancelled my 32gb as they now have the 64gb back in stock for a 1/10 despatch. I've bought and tracked it through quidco again so hopefully will have better luck this time but it seems a bit flakey to say the least.

Happy to get the 64gb tho as I wasnt convinced the 32gb was enough for me.
 
Think this might put a smile on the face of you T-Mobile customers worrying that they don't yet have stock. Just off the phone with them and my order is showing as 'dispatched to courier'! The girl panicked and put me on hold, when she came back on she said she was just checking with her manager as she thought they had made a major error in sending out stock early. She went on to say that even though it has been dispatched i would not be getting it before friday and the couriers have been instructed on this, she was also surprised to see that it was being delivered by royal mail. She gave me my 10 digit order number which starts with 02. I asked for a consignment number as royal mail don't send a text with delivery details, she said that it wasnt on her system yet but she would phone me tomorrow with it. She even wanted a minute to double check that it was definitely a iphone 5 i was getting and it is. Will keep you posted when the consignment number is given to me tomorrow and post a tracking pic.

Just out of interest is there any way to track it on the T-Mobile site using the 10 digit order number?

That's reassuring. :eek::cool:

the deal is so much better with the quidco cashback. It brings the effective monthly cost of the non hardware cost part of the plan down to about £13.35 a month
 
Quick question - Has anyone been able to get their Nano Sim sorted on Live chat with Vodafone??? I'm a new customer and they says to contact them when my order was confirmed so they could send the nano sim instead of the micro sim

Ah... I probably would. I noticed on Twitter they were telling people to give them a ring if they hadn't received an e-mail within 24 hours. I got mine about 5-10 minutes after my pre-order was complete, but their own tracking number was at the end of the process too.
