Think this might put a smile on the face of you T-Mobile customers worrying that they don't yet have stock. Just off the phone with them and my order is showing as 'dispatched to courier'! The girl panicked and put me on hold, when she came back on she said she was just checking with her manager as she thought they had made a major error in sending out stock early. She went on to say that even though it has been dispatched i would not be getting it before friday and the couriers have been instructed on this, she was also surprised to see that it was being delivered by royal mail. She gave me my 10 digit order number which starts with 02. I asked for a consignment number as royal mail don't send a text with delivery details, she said that it wasnt on her system yet but she would phone me tomorrow with it. She even wanted a minute to double check that it was definitely a iphone 5 i was getting and it is. Will keep you posted when the consignment number is given to me tomorrow and post a tracking pic.

Just out of interest is there any way to track it on the T-Mobile site using the 10 digit order number?

So they have this information but don't tell you unless you phone them up? I think they should text/email you once it has been dispatched! and royal mail?? really?!?! that is odd!

Add it is odd as they told me today they would sent 1 to 2 days ahead of arrival.

Awesome news. Thanks for the update.

Just switched my O2 number from my micro SIM to a nano SIM. I'd definitely recommend that you use the SMS service to swap as that is so much faster than the online one! Only took 4mins!

Ah... I probably would. I noticed on Twitter they were telling people to give them a ring if they hadn't received an e-mail within 24 hours. I got mine about 5-10 minutes after my pre-order was complete, but their own tracking number was at the end of the process too.

Just spoke to them, apparently my tracking number and order is fine so shouldn't have any worries. Bloke said its likely not tracking as i'm further down the queue (ordered it at 9am on the Saturday) and reckoned it would be end of the month at earliest before I would get it.

Always take what they say with a pinch of salt though! Fingers crossed its not at end of the month but wouldn't suprise me this time

Yeah they seem to have the info when pushed for it. Wonder how long they've had stock. The number i phoned to find out this was the 01577 652091 number i mentioned in an earlier post. Option 1 then 1 again. Yeah i'm a bit disappointed that its royal mail too as they deliver late in my area, plus they dont give you a text and time window. Wonder if they're using another courier now to meet demand?

I rang Vodafone on Saturday morning to request my PAC code as I'm leaving for 3. Sure enough PAC code was received almost immediately.

However have just had a call from Vodafone to ask why I was leaving (despite
me telling them at the time I was going to 3).
I explained again and he has just told me that although 3 are offering a better deal they will be unable to sustain that for a much longer. He reckons they will withdraw unlimited data and put their prices up once they've got people on contracts. He said that their network won't sustain what they are currently offering for much longer.
I told him that if that happens I might regret my decision but that it is a risk I am prepared to take.

Hmm... sounds like sour grapes to me as Vodafone must realise that they are losing people hand over fist to 3.

Surely if you sign a contract under certain terms of what you get for it....then that's what you should get for the duration of the contract.......if they realise they stuffed up and offered too much of a good deal, then they may stop the offer for future customers but if you're already signed up, then surely it's too late......technically you could void your contract....i did that once before with orange when they put their prices up, so i cancelled my contract and got a £500 phone for basically free :D

Royal Mail deliver late in every area sigh. Didn't really get much of a lunch break so I will phone them tomorrow, oh well at least I sneak on here every so often to make up for my small lunch break!

I go in later tomorrow so should be able to slip in a phone call in the morning, I hope i'm gunna be lucky and get mine on Friday, and furthermore hope it's not with Royal Mail!

Ah, that's good :) I'm hoping I get mine friday, I managed to get my order through whilst some people couldn't still get on to the store - A matter of spamming refresh and luck for me! Thing was, once I managed to get it into the basket with a plan added the whole payment side was completely fine and didn't crash at all as where opening the store in another tab gave me the maintenance error. Was completed at 8:35AM so fingers crossed for friday!

Trying it now.

I had used the swapmysim facility on the O2 website 24 hours ago and nothing has happened. See if this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Has anyone's order from Apple changed from Preparing shipment ?

I have a serial number on my apple service account for the IP5.

It doesn't seem like we will get the IP5 for Friday...

Could 3 even do that? If we have to keep our end of the deal they have to keep theirs. I'm coming from o2 and the only reason I've been with them so long is that I was on the £15 simplicity rolling contract with them before they brought in data caps. Because I hadnt changed my contract (I bought my 2 previous iphones 3G & 4 sim free from apple), they couldn't take me off unlimited which I have enjoyed since 2008.

I'm moving to 3 becuase of the unlimited plan and the tethering.

Hmmm...

Ordered on the 14th with confirmation at 8:09. Phone still in "processing items" and no trace on my support profile.

Should I be worried as everyone else seems at a far more advanced stage?

Hardly "far more advanced". One step ahead that's all.

Nobody can tell you that with 100% certainty.

However, the one launch I queued for (iPhone 4)... at my local O2 store, there were people there from 3 and 4am.....

With a store like Regent Street, I imagine there would already be a huge queue by 06:30....but their stock level should be suitably large....

Aren't there already like 10+ people at Regent Street and another 15+ at Covent Garden?

Has anyone else STILL not even been given a tracking number that works?

Ordered from Orange and was given a number saying Wednesday delivery, phoned and told it was a mistake (what a shock) and would get a new number soon.
No new tracking number.
No order confirmation emails.
Money taken.
Contract started (according to orange automated phone system).

Im in the same boat as you..my new plans started too without my new phone..which is kind of annoying..I havent a clue whats going on.

Randomly quoting my own post

I did think about queuing but decided against it as they are now pushing the "walk out working" - I know some people that have 3 or 4 POP3 email accounts that all have to be set to go out through odd SMTP servers or download the email in certain ways etc. plus have loads of other odd settings on their phone. They would take so long to process that even if you were like 10th and stuck behind loads of "those sorts of people" you could be waiting for like 4hrs! Dread to think if you were #100 or something, prob be waiting a week! :(
