Can anyone recommend any iPhone insurance providers?

I've decided I'm going to insure my phone for the first time! Plus my comment to the CPW sales bloke 'I've never lost a phone yet...' has probably jinxed it.

The CPW 'Geek Squad' Insurance sounded alright...I don't think it's worth trying my home insurance as there's a pretty hefty excess.

Any recommendations or is the CPW insurance the way to go?

Certain bank accounts offer additional extras. Mobile phone insurance is one of them, along with roadside assistance and such like.

It's 2012...so, yes. You can get next day delivery from China, absolutely no problem.

Networks in this country have probably had them shipped over the weekend from China, like the US. Maybe even before hand, or even for that matter if they got shipped today they'd be in the country by tomorrow morning ready to be scanned and sent to carriers. :)

I've got it through my bank account, for a monthly fee I get top level AA, mobile phone insurance, travel insurance, card guard etc. - Works out cheaper than buying them separately and covers 2 phones if it's a joint policy!

I'd expect that tonight or maybe tomorrow they would probably be shipped from a central depot to the networks, who will then box them up and add the SIM cards for each customer. That gives them around 24-36 hours to complete this before handing them over to the couriers for delivery on Thursday.

Hmmm...

Ordered on the 14th with confirmation at 8:09. Phone still in "processing items" and no trace on my support profile.

Should I be worried as everyone else seems at a far more advanced stage?

Am in the same boat as u mate I ordered at 8.16am 16gb white got a email saying that it might be late by a day or 2 ? Are u in scotland ?

Surely if you sign a contract under certain terms of what you get for it....then that's what you should get for the duration of the contract.......if they realise they stuffed up and offered too much of a good deal, then they may stop the offer for future customers but if you're already signed up, then surely it's too late......technically you could void your contract....i did that once before with orange when they put their prices up, so i cancelled my contract and got a £500 phone for basically free :D

Any phone contract can increase prices, people need to really read small print. It clearly states they can increase monthly charges as necessary. However, 3 have good prices and have just increased slightly so unlikely to change again for a while.

If your queueing at the store then I would have the funds to buy the most expensive iPhone to make sure you get something and also be aware you may not get the colour or size you want.

If your able to afford that and don't mind then queue.

I think the worst thing you can do is queue for hours and find that all they have left is 64GB and you can't afford it.

That's not to say you won't get what you want as the Apple stores have lots of stock but you also don't want to Wait ages and leave with nothing. That would annoy me.

I would say 100% all the phones are in the UK now and will be dispatched Thursday night for next day delivery.

Could 3 even do that? If we have to keep our end of the deal they have to keep theirs. I'm coming from o2 and the only reason I've been with them so long is that I was on the £15 simplicity rolling contract with them before they brought in data caps. Because I hadnt changed my contract (I bought my 2 previous iphones 3G & 4 sim free from apple), they couldn't take me off unlimited which I have enjoyed since 2008.

I'm moving to 3 becuase of the unlimited plan and the tethering.

The small print allows any network to increase prices.....i did not know this until 3 increased their monthly charges and there is nothing you can do about it as thats the agreement you sign up to. All nicely hidden in the small print. But then it is our responsibility to read it so my fault!

I rang Vodafone on Saturday morning to request my PAC code as I'm leaving for 3. Sure enough PAC code was received almost immediately.

However have just had a call from Vodafone to ask why I was leaving (despite
me telling them at the time I was going to 3).
I explained again and he has just told me that although 3 are offering a better deal they will be unable to sustain that for a much longer. He reckons they will withdraw unlimited data and put their prices up once they've got people on contracts. He said that their network won't sustain what they are currently offering for much longer.
I told him that if that happens I might regret my decision but that it is a risk I am prepared to take.

Hmm... sounds like sour grapes to me as Vodafone must realise that they are losing people hand over fist to 3.

Sour grapes probably as he obviously wants your business.

BUT....without even knowing it, he is right!

Three stated off SHOCKING....then they really stepped up their game and became the biggest and best data network in the country, blew the others away.

However they may have became a victim of their own success now and they need to invest desperately.

The network has struggled recently with capacity, used to fly, but not so much anymore. Currently going through the usual process of engineers looking at postcodes to figure out what is wrong in a lot of areas of London. Also up north everyone I suggested moved over to three are struggling now, data speeds and signal nowhere near what it used to be.

I have three twitter support 7 postcodes to check, ranging from down south to up north and ALL had capacity issues which "should be resolved soon hopefully" !!??

So this has made my decision easier, will be paying off/terminating (depends on outcome of fault checks) my contract with three and moving over to Orange. I hated orange in the past, very slow data in a lot of areas, but wanting to make the move to EE 4G so should be a short stay on orange.

Three remember give pretty much everyone unlimited data now (even PAYG) and they also provide Samba mobile with data where users get it FREE....all of this is taking its toll.

Just been to orange store in Bristol cribs Causeway.

Today is the last day u can pre order for guaranteed collection on Friday.
They have no nano sims and will only have them for people who have pre ordered.

I've ordered mine now. And 3 people came in asking about nano sims whilst I was there.
