TrueCould also be at Syncreon's warehouse in Tamworth, my 4S came from there.
Do you know when abouts the first month will be charged? 3 told me it'll be a week later, but a week later from what! Running about like a madman trying to find out!
No it's not totally correct.I was told by T-mobile the full monty is completely unlimited. I am moving from O2 & can live without tethering. Is this not correct. I originally signed for 300 mins 1.5gb data & unlimited texts for £36 but was told the full monty has no limits at all? They changed my contract to the new one. Have I been misled?
Do you think because I ordered on the Saturday I am not considered an 'early' preorder'er. Do you think I will have to wait longer or because I was given those dates I'm cool?
My Three port request apparently failed. Do you have to insert the nano SIM and have it activated before you do the port request?
I've upgraded my rolling O2 contract to a new 24 month contract:
Unlimited Minutes
Unlimited Texts
1GB Data
For £26 a month and a £249 upfront fee for the 16GB iPhone 5.
From my calcuations, it's actually the cheapest 24 month contract for the 16GB iPhone 5. I was tempted to go sim free but it works out more expensive over the 24 month period, especially because I use a lot of minutes. 1GB is more than enough for me because i'm always connected to WiFi so don't see the need for unlimited data usage.See I'm quite a heavy user. I use Wi-Fi in work and at home yet still go ove 1GB a month. To make the msot of the iPhone features like turn-by-tun sat nav then I need over 1GB.
So what contracts have people gone for and why?
I'm on Three but thinking of switching to T-Mobile and then a switch to EE (price dependent - according to some sources the use of 4G may increase the monthly tariff by up to £10).
On the flipside, if the EE prices are too high and don't offer TRULY unlimited data then I'll stick with Three which has unlimited data (no fair usage policy either unline T-Mobile) AND tethering.
For me, truly unlimited data (and maybe tethering) will form my decision as to which network I'll go to. I can go without 4G for a year on Three, especially if it's going to cost an arm and a leg.
That's a good deal. Three offer some good packages and their network is pretty reliable. Hope that when they release the 4G contracts in a year that they are not too steep.
Has anyone actually gotten through to O2 over the last couple of days??!
Im trying to cancel an old rolling contract as going with Three for the iphone 5.
Ive tried to call 4 times and now a little bored of working thier way through the entire now 45 album
Call 1 - 34 minutes, gave up
Call 2- 46 minutes, gave up
Call 3 - 22 minutes, gave up
Call 4 - 49 minutes......
Annoying..
I think the nano-sim has to be activated first.
No it's not totally correct.
It's actually limited to 1GB a month for the Full Monty plan, if you go over that then you can still browse and read e-mails but they may stop you from downloading and streaming videos. Pretty lame.
Is your 3GS unlocked to work on any network?
If it is I suggest plugging your 3GS (With the new nano-sim) into iTunes and sync the phone. This'll change the carrier to your new one.
Also, is your nano-sim activated? If it aint, then you'll have to get it activated 1st.
I actually asked about the 4G when ordering and sales women stated that I wouldnt be put on a seperate contract, i could just start using 4g whenever it was available, no charge and wouldnt have to do anything....
I don't understand why people call the networks and expect to get good answers...
You can pretty much guarantee that everyone who mans the phones at a network knows less than most of the posters in this thread.
How would I know if it was activated or not? It had a strong 3G signal on 3. I've also had an email to say my number transfer from O2 will be going through tomorrow. I'll try syncing the 3GS with iTunes later.
Anyone had their Apple orders shipped yet?
