1) EE have said there MIGHT be an increase for some tariffs. nothing has been publicly said yet so everything is speculation

2) on the full monty plan, there are no fair usage policies. I have truly unlimited data, texts and minutes on my contract. not tethering though.

3) unless you live in one of the big cities, 4G won't be anywhere near you for a lot longer than a year :(
1) Hence why I said 'may' ;) But I reckon they will, personal hunch.

2) Taken from T-Mobile website for aplan with 'Unlimited data' on the Full Monty plan:

Fair Use Policy for mobile broadband

However much you use the internet, you'll never get charged extra
We're the only operator to offer you a fixed price for browsing and emailing on your mobile broadband connection with no limits and no extra charges.
Never pay more than your monthly fixed price
You can always browse and email with no limits
Perfect for getting online when you're out and about

Is there an allowance?
You can browse and email as much as you want.

Your plan will come with an allowance which varies depending on the plan that you select however we will not charge you if you go over your allowance. If they go over their allowance we will not charge any extra or prevent them from using the internet however we may restrict their usage on downloads and streaming.

The limit for the Full Monty plan is 1GB acording to their own site.

3) Luckily I live in Bristol! But I wonder how many people will use it and if it will slow the network down for the first year or so...still not sold on it fully yet seeing as its brand new.

I actually asked about the 4G when ordering and sales women stated that I wouldnt be put on a seperate contract, i could just start using 4g whenever it was available, no charge and wouldnt have to do anything....
That's interesting to know! Hope they confirm this on their website soon.

2 reasons I called: 1. The person I spoke to there on Friday told me to call after Tuesday for more concrete details as they will have order details on system by then. 2. Some people on here seemed to get more solid details last night/today.

Who are you with and what did you get told?

Incorrect, here is terms:

Our Full Monty plans will give you unlimited use of our internet on your phone service when you're in the UK. This means you can use as many MB/GB as you like and no fair use policy will apply. Please note, internet on your phone excludes using your phone as a modem (tethering) and network traffic controls apply. Your peer to peer file sharing experience will also be slower during peak hours. Remember, you can only use your SIM card in a mobile phone and you'll need internet coverage, check it at t-mobile.co.uk/streetcheck.

Strange, they seem to have conflicting info.

Just had a good read of the Daily Mail Review and im now like a kid waiting for my xmas day... at 34 its slightly worrying i can get so excited over what is essentially a mobile phone!

Anyway enough of my dribbling, just called Three (yes again lol) and they have stated that the first batch of pre-orders will be delivered for Friday (barring unforseen individual circumstances) and that a second batch will be delivered BETWEEN the 21st and the 2nd of October.

So to me that says, everyone who got in early will get it friday, the later orders will be in the second batch being delivered within the week after.

Hope that helps

This may have already been covered on this thread but just not come across it, does anyone know if the rumoured LTE frequency which vodafone will eventually transmit will be compatible with the 5's spec?

Hey guys, for the ones on O2 doing the swap to nano, how long is the process taking for you? I did mine yesterday online and said it would take a couple of hours, it's been about 18 hours now and my current micro sim is still working.
i went in store and they gave me a number to text to activate the sim and worked almost straight away

Says this in my T&C for my Full Monty plan:

T-Mobile said:

So as far as I'm concerned unlimited internet is truly unlimited!

Strange, they seem to have conflicting info.

It should be there slogan!

T-Mobile - Life's for sharing...conflicting information.

Seriously though I would love to know WHEN my phone will be shipping, I have also asked the support team questions I already knew the answers too and more often then not they actually get the answers wrong...

T-Mobile & Orange = EE

When 4g is activated you need to move (from Orange or T-Mobile) to a EE contract (which EE have confirmed is possible with an increase in cost).

The information im getting from THREE is that there is no need for a new sim or a new contract, all they do is activate their 4G spectrum and as part of my contract I can start using 4g as soon as its up.

Just going with the horses mouth :) Wouldnt worry now anyway, wont be for at least 10-12 months :p

This may have already been covered on this thread but just not come across it, does anyone know if the rumoured LTE frequency which vodafone will eventually transmit will be compatible with the 5's spec?

it won't. Currently only EE and 3 have spectrum which is licensed for use with LTE and will work with the iPhone 5. O2 are pushing to have their 3G spectrum re-licensed for LTE, which would also work with the iPhone 5.

How long has anyone's nano sim taken to arrive by post from Three? I ordered mine on Monday evening and it quoted delivery for today (Wednesday).

Thought it was a bit optimistic considering how hectic things are. I'm just hoping it arrives before Friday to set it up before the chaos that is launch day! :)

Can you order it online or do you have to call!!! I just remember I need to order mine!! :(

Change to an EE contract to use Three's 4G network when it's setup? Yeah that makes a lot of sense. The guy did say he wasn't sure if I'd need a new sim or not.

If we are talking about three then I don't know. I was talking about EE. I would however be surprised if three don't make you change your contract in some way but they haven't announced anything so sales people are speculating.

As for EE

I was at the press event last week.

I asked the EE guys there. I said "If I buy a 4G UK compatible phone and put an orange SIM in it will I get LTE where there is coverage?"

The answer was no.

You need:

1. A LTE compatible phone ie, iPhone 5.
2. LTE coverage on the EE network
3. A LTE tariff on EE
4. A EE LTE SIM card which is different from the existing SIM cards you have.

So far as we know right now Vodafone's LTE will not support the i5
