Yep, same here. Yesterday the woman said thy weren't going to start shipping until 21st so people would start recieving on Mon 24th, but today I spoke to a guy who said that everyone's order still shows no stock and that although the party line is 30 days, this is jut to cover their arses. He reckoned that if you got in early enough, there was a good chance of getting it sooner but he wouldn't commit to Friday, instead saying that they've only been told that they'd start dispatching from the 21st - wasn't sure if that meant leaving orange or arriving at customers.

He then checked for tracking info but said that my order (upgrade on the phone at 08.20) was still showing as no stock.

Different answer every time I call!!

That's the frustrating thing, seems nobody actually knows but sme try and provide more than others. One big piece of guess work!

If I don't have a tracking number etc by eod tomorrow I shall be going to join a queue somewhere for a sim free one :D

Ordered black 32GB about 12ish hours after pre orders started and my status is still on "Processing Items Dispatched 2-3 Weeks Delivers 02 Oct, 2012 - 08 Oct 2012" is this bad? :S Has anyone else got this status?

There aren't many details on the page, just my address and an order number, has anyone got tracking numbers or anything else?

Just tried calling again and asking, still no tracking for me! Said nobody has them yet as they haven't started allocating iPhone 5's!

Everyone tells us something different lol.

Its not a fully working tracking number but it is definately a UK Mail ref No. cus iv just called them and quoted the ref and they said i will get the full tracking No. tomorrow night or friday!

i pre-ordered via the website and got an email confirmation almost immediately afterwards. my girlfriend did the same on monday and again, email came in straight away.

You can check on the O2 website if you've got a MyO2 account set up - goto http://mymobile.o2.co.uk/myorders
That will show you the details of the order and if you click through into the order, if they've packaged up your phone ready to send it'll list the parcel number so you can track it with the courier.

However, from what i hear, only those who pre-ordered with O2 before 8pm on Friday 14th are likely to get their phones on this coming friday. After 8pm they'd used up their pre-order allocation and so could be upto 3 weeks afterwards depending on when they get new stock from Apple.

Because I'm a new (well, returning) customer I had to do it over the phone. I called up on Saturday morning and the rep said it would be dispatched on launch day - so if I have missed out on the initial allocation, I am going to be majorly POed.

They also set me up with a login/pass for MyO2, but that doesn't work, so I can't check anything. The chat rep yesterday said he would reset the password and send it by text, but I never received it.

This is all after they took payment for the handset from my debit account, though I wanted to use my credit card. After calling their customer service team I was informed that in order to change the payment method, they would need to cancel the order and put it through again as a new order- but supposedly by that time they had run out of pre-order stock so I wouldn't receive the phone on 22/09.

If I wasn't so desperate for it, I would have cancelled... still might, actually.

Can someone update the first page as this thread is getting ridiculous

Any pre order will highly unlikely be given an order/tracking number till Thursday night when all the phones are released for delivery

Anyone who bought from Apple had theirs shipped yet? Mine still says prepared for shipment. Has done since saturday.

Mine is still on "Processing Items". I placed my order about 10 minutes past 8 on Friday using the mobile app.

I've not yet been charged yet either. When is panic time?

So I've received my nano sim form Three. I can't activate it from my iPhone as its locked to Orange and I want to beat the activation rush on Friday!

So I rang Three customer support and they couldn't have been more helpful (to my surprise)! So I gave them my new Three number, done it will be activated in 24 hours. Then I asked if I could transfer my old number now or had to wait. Now, gave them my PAC code, will also be complete in 24 hours.

So I will have a sim all ready and active with my original number when my iPhone arrives Friday.

Three are doing great with support and thus far very glad I've changed to them, they have made everything so easy for me.

Ive been charged for mine. was about 8:15 on friday. just not dispatched. anyone know where they are coming from. the 4s' came directly from china to the customer but they have come from depots in the uk/ire before.

Apple have taken the money from my account even though my pre-order is processing and delivery date is Oct 5th.
Do they usually do this?

I have the same mate with the same delivery time. Ordered 9 and a half hours after pre-orders started.

I got my Nano SIM from O2 Bournemouth yesterday. They wanted to see my Apple order receipt before they would give me one which was fair enough.

I tried to do the SIM Swap online, and it wouldn't work, so I tried doing it via the SMS method and it worked straight away and the nano SIM worked instantly.

MY BODY IS READY!

The 4G tariffs are going to be really expensive. They're offering a 3GB tariff with the iPhone 5 for £46. Anything less than 5GB for 4G will seem like a waste so are we looking at £60+ for the early adopters? I love how they're quoting figures of between 8-12mb too. I'm glad I didn't go with Orange now.

Guys,

I ordered through Orange on the Friday but I now want to cancel. Does anyone know their cancellation protocol?
