Someone ring apple and find out what's up with the UPS tracking

Apple stuff that delivers with UPS always tracks like this. After a while, presumably when UPS scan it somewhere) it tracks with a proper UPS code. No idea why apple provide a bogus code in the first place, they'd be better off saying "pending" or something, LOL

For me they keep saying 32gb is most likely to arrive tomorrow as most people want 16gb, not many want 64gb so stock levels are low for that anyway.

Who knows tho. They just seem to be guessing

Orange

For anyone else upgrading with Orange, I just got off the phone with a reasonably helpful chap. My order is still showing as 'no stock' but he says that this will be the case for all phones until they are scanned into the system at Orange. The thing that worries menus if Orange themselves haven't processed them and they're just in a warehouse somewhere, what are the chances of actually gettin one tomorrow?!

He also mentioned that he hasn't seen anyone's order have any tracking details on it, but did say that he has a message on his 'launch pad' I think he called it, saying that orange were running low on stock of 16gb and 32gb iPhone 5 and they 'could no longer guarantee customers would reciever them on launch day'. He again said that as I'd ordered a 64gb , I should be ok but his language sounded car frilly chosen. A lot of hopefully's and likely's and should do's.

Who knows...

Anyone got anything different out of orange?

Managed to get into syncreon and the delivery estimate is 21st however having logged into apple to track my order it tells me Estimated Delivery Date Sep 20, 2012 (today)

Back from my regular harassment of the local T-Mobile store. They had told me they'd get Nano SIMs in today but now they're saying tomorrow. Rubbish ****s.

What is with the lack of delivery information from Three?

Purchased on the phone last Friday morning and haven't even had an order confirmation!

They took the £109 out my bank account almost instantly though.

The Syncreon website is a middle man (according to some users who had them last year on launch day) and I think they transfer the packages to UKMail or TNT right before delivery day.

Syncreon's website has been playing up since yesterday, I can get my tracking numbers into their site and then it just dies. I really don't think Syncreon are the ones who are going to physically deliver the iphone's, I've never seen their vans or anything related to them and parcel delivery.

I think Apple will update our status with a new delivery company and link to tracking, if you look on your shipment notification (click on Track Shipment on Apple's site) there is a blank space next to "Shipment dispatched"

Don't try putting your tracking info into TNT's website, I already tried and it said it was delivered to some guy in "nuneaton" and this caused me some panic when I realized they recycle tracking numbers, and TNT is not delivering the iphone.

Thanks for the heads up! Although my iP4 is still getting left on iOS 5. Got a tethered jailbreak earlier in the year that has left me unable to update no matter what I try.

Still... it will be kinda cool to have an iPhone frozen in time

Would appear most networks are the same. I'm ordered with Orange and got a confirmation email with tracking number, but the status is still being readied for dispatch. Has been since Friday. Give them a call they should give you a tracking number at least at some point today.

I have just tracked my iPhone 5, CPW says...



The City Link tracking number does not work yet, probably because they either have it ready to start moving it later today, or because I'm having mine delivered to my local CPW for me to pick up.

Was a bit concerned about my order after placing yesterday over the phone (the woman didn't sound to convincing) so phoned again yesterday to enquire about a confirmation email, to then find my order couldn't be found but the money came out of my account (worrying times). After being placed on hold for ten minutes she some how managed to find my previous phone calls and confirmed my order and that it was in the warehouse waiting to be picked up (good news). Phoned again this morning after reading about the order number bit only to find that my order couldn't be found AGAIN. So after 5 minutes, she searched through the postcodes to find that my surname had been spelt wrong, jones instead of johns. The lady then took the rest of my details to confirm that this was the case, but my email address and bank card had been taken with the correct surname?! Although she couldn't give me order number she told me that they are working all day to get the phones dispatched and you will receive an email ''probably today'' with the relevant numbers and if they are dispatched today then you should recieve the phone tomorrow.

Not holding too much hope for mine tomorrow as I just placed the order yesterday afternoon and live in Aberdeenshire. I will be happy when it's just dispatched!!

Hope the lack of information is because they're busy sorting our phones to send...a quick email saying they're still on track would be great.

Thanks for this, I don't like iOS6 new maps, they suck!

Not to mention has anyone had issues with the App Store updates? every time I go to update whatever app needs to be updated, it's blank!

Heh, yet more ambiguity!! I wish orange would just tell us the truth rather than interpreting their party line and trying to appease customers. If they just said, they're in a warehouse somewhere but until they are shipped from the warehouse via orange it won't show on the system. It should be today for delivery tomorrow, or whatever!!

My chap said that the most common package was £109 for the 16gb on a £36 a month package. He said that there would be loads of 64s left! I bet if I'd ordered a 16gb he'd have told me the opposite!!

Have you tried a restore from DFU mode? I was under the impression DFU overrides everything and you could always restore from it? If not it's worth a try c:

O2 Nano SIM up and running

My Nano SIM is now working in old 3G iPhone via www.o2.co.uk/swapmysim all done in 1:30 mins. Seems to have a stronger signal than before, in all rooms of my home. Sold my 4S a month ago now just waiting for UPS to deliver the new iPhone 5

I spoke to Three last night about my order i placed over the phone (nothing major, the guy taking my order forgot to take an email address)

The guy said he cant add an address to my order but it wont cause any problems,

He then said....... And I Quote "If you give me a contact number then i will make a note on your account that we'll call you if there are any problems with our deliveries, At this point (6pm last night) we foresee no issues whatsoever, all stock levels are as we expected and we fully expect everyone to receive their handset on the date they were quoted"

He also said that had i given them an email address it would only be so "they could sent an email Thursday night, confirming next day delivery"

All in all, Dont stress, Im sure itll all be grand

You're in the same boat as me brother..... I called them last night and was told lack of email address was no issue, ok you cant watch a tracking number all day but it will make no difference to the order

Yeah, I'm quite familiar with DFU mode being under a tether curse , everything I try fails. I'm not too bothered about getting iOS 6 on there, it would probably run far too slow for my liking, but if I could upgrade to an untethered iOS 5 jailbreak at least that would be nice .

I'm gonna get in touch with Thatcher and see if he can help me out. Thanks for trying to help
