The nice automated lady told me my iPhone 5 has been shipped via Royal Mail and then emailed me my tracking number.

Me to!! Royal mail is excellent as can pick up from the depot if they fail devlivery :)
 
Phone 01577652091 press 3 and ask them for the status of your order, you will need web reference so get that handy as I had to switch apps to get to mail to grab it during the call.

Let me know how you get on, it's a free number so you can phone on your mobile without getting charged like you would for an 0800 :)

I wasn't given an order reference, as it's an upgrade, I'll give them a ring though :) thanks!

Edit: rang, and I was told that iPhone preorders will be sent a text this evening and from his screen, mine is with the delivery company for delivery tomorrow :D I'm excited now! Plus as mine is a 64GB, I was pretty much guaranteed one anyway, apparently! Bloke I spoke to is also excited about getting his tomorrow too, hahaha!

I just spoke with Apple Costumer Services, they confirmed to me that the UPS shipping details will be release tomorrow at the same time deliver my iPhone 5, also in the process I manage to get myself the 30pin to Lightning Adapter for free *This will be sent as separate order*.

This is if anyone cares to know

P.S. ordered my iPhone 5 *if you haven't noticed* through Apple Store directly. :D

Hi Everybody,

i have my own account manager, they are sending text tonight for all orders approx 50,000 will be sent.

all 16gb have been sold out from monday and will take 2 weeks to fulfill pre orders
32gb they had 1300 handset left
64gb the has 600 handset left as of 5pm yesterday
 
I've just sent an email to the MD of Orange UK, that'll rattle a few cages, lets see what happens to that one...

What did you have to say to get this? I ordered from Apple also and would like to get one for free seeing as that is what they told me to expect.
 
My iphone 5 32gb is also in Hinckley!

Just waiting for three to swap my giffgaff number over today and i should be all good for tomorrow!

I'm on Orange. I received the email and text message to say shiney new Phone is on its way.
Have no other information except that, however, going into the MY ORANGE iPhone app, click on data/call time left.. it shows my plan is set to begin tomorrow.
Given a little hope that it could indeed be delivered tomorrow (especially being one of the biggest providers) and other members are just getting answers from uninformed staff.

Oh!! What time did you order with Orange? No txt message yet :(
 
nothing will happen. The phone isnt even out yet. calm down its just a phone.

I know it's only a phone, I don't care about the phone. They have £200 of my money and have not even sent a confirmation email or text, that is what I am complaining about. It could be any company and I'd do the same thing, they will hide behind the iPhone hype as an excuse for bad customer service.

I spoke to Orange 5 mins ago to check upgrade and they said I was in the first batch of handsets and no handsets had been allocated yet as they were waiting for stock and deliveries will be happening next week

That's refreshing. Fingers crossed. Especially as it appears I made the right decision with the 32gb White!

He'll probably be too busy trying to track his iPhone 5 order :D

In other news, @OrangeHelpers just tweeted me with the same old line "Deliveries start Friday but it can take up to 30 days for any iPhone 5 orders to arrive. We can’t track individual orders."

I prefer what I read up there though ^ ;)
 
I dont get it why send some peoples via Royal Mail and some via UPS? :S surely they would send them all with 1 or the other?
