There are 4 people in our household, I'm wanting to pre-order 4 iPhones. How can I get around the two people delivery limit? If I use 2 different credit cards under a different name but the same address, will that work? Does anyone have any experience this?

Can you order an iPhone via Apple on contract? I've had a quick look at their website and can only see a PAYG option (looking at 4s for a rough guide).

Just had this convo with O2 online...

UK & EU LTE Compatibility

Regarding the Radio Chip in the iPhone 5, apparently it is the WTR1605L Qualcomm chip which supports a total of 7 frequency bands: three below 1GHz, three above, and one ultra-high 2.5 GHz+ frequency.

So if this is the case shouldn't the UK iPhone be able to support both the 800Mhz & 2600Mhz LTE spectrums as well as the advertised 850Mhz, 1800Mhz & 2100Mhz frequencies?

Is it possible they have only listed the 850Mhz, 1800Mhz & 2100Mhz because they are the only ones currently in use and once the others are actually operational they will just update the compatibility specifications?

it 100% does not support the bands that Voda/O2 will use. No.3 (A1429) will be the one that's sold here.

See this article: http://www.engadget.com/2012/09/12/apple-iphone-5-lte/

I interpreted the uk apple store iphone 5 info to mean available to pre-order from 8am - glad I consulted here - looks like it could be a nervous wait after all.. Don't fancy waiting 2-3 weeks etc for this to get to me if I miss out on the first wave of orders!

Still think it will be around the 6-7-8am ish time if the US are getting it midnight

Hopefully :)

No chance, the iPhone pre orders are the same time throughout the world.

The earliest pre orders can happen here in the UK is 8am if pre orders start in the USA on the 14th.

The store is still up on the iPhone app.

I think O2 are deliberately being sketchy until other carriers show their hands first. Have a feeling there's going to be quite a few O2 customers jumping ship due to no LTE and no early contract buy out scheme.

yeah hopefully, I'm planning on hitting the apple online store at around 8am to get my order in.

Not yet anyway, still hoping they'll announce something! (early upgrade)

i stayed up till midnight on the iphone 4 launch and it wasnt available to pre order till around 8am..

eidt: apple store is back up

It would make sense for O2 to offer it as they would hook people in for another 18 months/2 years. Few peeps have been batting the idea of them offering a decent tariff due to the *lack* of LTE but I just can't see that happening.

I shall be up early tomorrow morning feverishly pressing F5 ;)

Are o2 only offering 24 month contracts with ip5? thats all they've got listed

i was surprised by that too, glad i'm going the simplicity route this year. Contracts look v expensive too!

Yup they are gonna bleed your wallets because now all their plans have 'unlimited minutes and texts' and that's what they will say to justify their phone prices :p

My bets are ~£370-£400 for a 16gb on the £26/month one.

Also, if you want 12 month contracts maybe check Tesco Mobile out when they have their iPhone 5 plans up. They use O2's network and have 12/18/24 month ones :). Well they did for the 4S so let's hope :p

Will we be able to cancel iPhone 5 orders if I preorder? Reason being I want to go on T-Mobile/EE contract but may not have the credit rating/not want to pay the ridiculous monthly fee.

But I don't want to miss the boat and end up ordering an iPhone 5 from Apple later and not having it delivered on release day.

Suppose I could do both, and sell the unlocked one from Apple on EBay for a tidy profit.

Any advice?
