You can take it to an apple store and they will swap it for a refurb - which is a new phone as there are no old iPhone 5's. It will just be without a box but you can keep your existing box.

My local Apple store have no appointments available till next Friday evening. But i guess i have no other choice.

Alternative is to take it to an apple shop in a few weeks when they will have stock, can you ask fr some kind of reference that you hae raised the issue as soon as it arrived?

I am dreading opening mine now!!

Will call and ask.

So I rang orange again and spoke to a Geordie guy who pretty much refused to help me and said he can't tell me when it will be delivered.. I explained I don't want to know when it will be delivered I just want to know has it been dispatched and if not is it even in stock?
He then transferred me to a Asian gent in a different call centre who promised it would be delivered by UKmail on Monday, but refused to give me a tracking no. as UKmail's tracking service isn't currently working (even though I explained I would still like the tracking no to try when UKmails service was working)
So lets see if it turns up Monday? My guess is no.

Bit of advice - if you've got an iPhone on order for delivery from Apple, or direct from one of the networks - cancel it and go into the shop.

They are getting tons of the things in. The Watford shop (arguably one of the least popular shops) had 15 pallets arrive today - at once! I also spoke to the one over at Milton Keynes - loads in stock, not a problem picking one up at any time today.

Just stay away from them early in the morning as you get the scalpers there.

I'm kinda in the same boat. I ordered mine early Friday morning during Pre sales and thought it'd be waiting for me when I got back from Ibiza, but no, nothing. Called them and was told it should be here Monday, the guy didn't sound very reassuring so I won't hold my breathe. Worst thing is my friend ordered hers 3 days after me on the Monday, and got hers on time!

Guys, deciding between Three or T-Mobile...What provider has better service and speed within London?

Seem to much the same try and get a PAYG sim working in your house to see - my speeds go from anything up to 17mbps download and 3mbps upload round the corner but reduce down to 4-5 in my house (on three)

Wow, I didn't know Watford had an Apple Store. Thats useful if I ever need to visit a Genius Bar won't have to travel into London.

Not sure what to do about my iphone5, keep it or return it for something else. Theres no marks but there is a rattling sound at the top, I've had my iPhone4 for two years, chucked it around loads and it still doesn't rattle. There's also the fact that the black colour will scratch pretty soon.

Been a good test on my iPhone 5 battery today... I been to Southampton and back from Birmingham for the football.. less said about that the better. Anyhow, took it off charge at about 8:30am this morning, auto-brightness... on 3G or Edge all day. Used some Siri, a lot of Twitter, Facebook, Sports apps and some typing on Pages. Also watched about 20 minutes of the Swansea-Everton game on Sky Go over 3G on 100% brightness. Back at home and at 8pm i have a battery of 14%. Not bad i think.

Neither did I until Friday! According to the lady who did my contract today, it only opened last Saturday! Hugely convenient...I recall having to lug a 24" iMac across the Brent Cross shopping center and back after spending 45 mins stuck in traffic getting there.
