Reading all these posts makes me feel rather lucky.
I reserved a white iphone 5 16gb at the Eldon Square shop in Newcastle last sunday afternoon.
I got an e mail about 7pm that evening saying to pick up on monday between 10 - 7pm.
This was for a sim free as i am already on Three

Think i have just been very lucky but the whole thing was really easy.
Hope the rest get theres soon

I have been reserving all week, and I am still waiting for that elusive email!

Ahhhh..

Checked in here to see how our fellow Apple Fans are doing across the pond... but the poor grammar and misuse of the plural is killing me LOL.

Just kidding :) I'm sure our American slang drives you nuts to read just as much. Like when we say Apple IS addressing quality issues.

Congrats to you all on getting your phones!

How is the quality out of box for you all? I'm curious if you have a later manufacturing lot that has seen better QC.

Finally got a reservation for a White 32GB at a London Apple store after 4 days of trying.

Yesterday, I requested reservations at Covent Garden, Regent Street, Stratford and White City from 2 separate email addresses - so 8 requests in all. I thought all hope was gone at 9pm last night but a solitary reservation email for White City came through at 00:03 .

Anyway, it seems that using reservation system can very occassionally be successful. Good luck to anyone else who's still trying!

I agree with thinking there random. I did two on Tuesday at around 2pm for Manchester Arndale and the Trafford Centre and received reservations for both for the next day. Tried again today for Manchester Arndale but no luck :(.

Just curious, which ones did you reserve at Trafford Center & Arndale? I'm assuming the 32gb black are a bit harder to get then the other ones!

16gb in white. Tried again today so hoping to receive an email later and I'm just gonna go in and setup a new contract and refuse delivery on my orange upgrade when it eventually gets delivered, if it ever does. The amount of lies their CS have spilled to me is beyond ridiculous.

Ordered my iPhone 5 on 15th September, and T-Mobile claim they'll deliver the phone within 30 days. What happens if they fail to meet this self-imposed deadline?

Reading this is infuriating. I rang that store just before the close of business on Sunday and was told there were no sim free iPhones in stock. I'd made a reservation request at 9am that day too.

Congrats to you on your good luck, but the way this is being handled is really starting to frustrate me.

Hi, anyone else who ordered from the Three website able to shed any light on my situation, outlined below?

They haven't called me back yet...

Cheers!

Hi, looking for some help from any online Three customers:

I just tried to order an iPhone5 on contract with them (via their website), and my credit check did not get accepted straight away - nor did it get rejected - got an email saying 'Thanks for your order with us. Before we can send your order we need to confirm a few details with you'.

Apparently they're going to call me within 48 hours.

Can anyone tell me what they were asked, or what all this is about? I know they just want to 'check some details', but that sounds rather ominous to me.

I already have a Three mobile broadband account (contract) and even a Three PAYG sim & USB dongle for when i use that all up - i live rurally and there's no landline so it's my main net connection. Luckily, it's super fast where i am, but the damn MiFi broadband is capped at 15gb....

I also already have an iPhone 4 on contract with O2, but their coverage sucks around here (just 'the dot').

So, i really want a Three iPhone 5, plus the tethering option! I don't think there should be a big issue with my credit or anything. But their Indian call centres are an absolute nightmare to deal with - i have way too much experience....

If anyone was in a similar situation, please let me know what happened!

Cheers

Eddie

Don't get too excited if CPWH site says a store has stock. Apparently Camden have stock, just called to double check and the person who answered said no-one has any and acted like I was an idiot for calling...

I'm starting to regret pre-ordering with these guys, not a great experience so far.

Could i just walk in store and buy and iphone 5?

or do i need to order online or reserve a pick up time like in china?

im buying one late october.

If my estimated delivery date says 2nd-8th Oct when should I expect my status to change from 'Processing Items' to 'Preparing For Shipment'?

I'm in the same boat- Processing Items for a 3rd-9th delivery. I called apple and they said it could ship over the weekend- and that it'll take around 2 days or so to arrive after it ships. It's taking a while for the status to change, though..

Thanks for the reply. I'm 1 day ahead of you so I should perhaps expect my status to change tomorrow. They probably don't ship on Sundays anyway so will still probably get it Tuesday or Wednesday.

When i rang up i just asked if they had any unlocked phones in general and was told no. I'd try to reserve both black & white 16GB.

Tried about 10 different reservations today. Nothing yet, again.

I would think that by then stock levels would be such that you could just walk in.

I wouldn't be so sure, the second round of launch countries happened today, (22 countries and US regional networks)with large queues reported in most countries.

http://appleinsider.com/articles/12...ws-crowds-as-it-launches-in-22-more-countries

If demand is anything like last weeks launch I can see Apple struggling to keep up with supplies for the foreseeable future, as they still intend pushing for the 100 countries by year end target.

It's likely the bulk of product will go into new launches with existing countries getting small allocations to keep demand at a frantic level.

I don't know how much the problems at Foxconn might also affect supply numbers.

It's more likely for demand to remain higher than supply for some time to come.

So finally managed to get my hands on a black iPhone 5 all be it on contract and a 64gb version, but got so bored of ringing up to be told there was no 32gb models, and reserving online never worked. Was only a few 64gb models left.

:apple::cool:
