Who knows how it works? The whole reservation system is a piece of crap designed to make people think stock in store is limited (when actually they have plenty kicking around if you will take out a contract).
I reckon their reservation system will automatically send an email out to everyone wanting an iPhone 5 on contract. And maybe one person who wants an unlocked model will get an email. Probably between 8pm and 8.30pm as usual.
My O2 was similar, so I'm happy with that. Visual Voicemail? No, none of my family use visual voicemail, so thought nothing of it.
Just had a text from Apple to say my phone will be delivered tomorrow !!!!!! Eu-bloody-reka !!!!!

Checked just now for it to say dispatched but have received no email, text or cannot track the dispatch

Well, it still says PROCESSING not Shipped, so you won't get a text or email from Apple...we're all in the same boat it would seem

It's always said dispatched. It's said dispatched since the 14th September.

So I am now 100% sure my theory was correct. I just got a iPhone 5 32gb white reservation at Watford. I placed only ONE order per IP address, first name, surname, and email address. I placed three today across these and got em. Apple are 100% definately honouring single reservations- this is my second successful reservation doing just one. Everyone needs to start doing it
So are you saying you got all three? And you'd been doing lots of previous (multiple) reservations and not getting anything? I guess that would be pretty convincing proof..

Nothing for me either...and I have done exactly as he did, 1 reservation per IP
Yup today after my mass reservations yesterday, I went for just 4, one on our ISP, one on the business centre wifi, one at mcdonalds and one on my 3G ipad, with wifi off and private browsing on.

No joy for me. I made two reservations, one at Regent St, one at White City. I made these in different names (different contact details etc), and from different IPs. Looking for a 64GB black, wonder if that's the problem.
That avforums thread suggests that people are getting reservations following multiple attempts (12 I saw mentioned!), so not sure I agree with your theory. I think it is more likely that there are just a lot of people trying to get their hands on limited stock, and they are essentially doing a lottery draw.
I am kind of amused that we are all complaining about not being able to give our money to Apple. Strange times...

Today was my 7th try and tomorrow will be my 8th !!
I was so tempted to pay CEX £625 to walk out with an iPhone 5 16gb black/Slate !
