Yeah CPW in Milton Keynes told me yesterday they had the 64GB models for SIM free sale there and then. For 16 and 32GB models though, you had to try and ring and reserve depending on stock.

However the smaller CPW in Centre MK told me they weren't selling the iPhone 5 SIM free, only on contract.

This was also true for the O2 stores. They are only selling on contract and won't sell them SIM free.

I've just phoned CPW, really helpful actually compared to normal. Had black 64s in, also checked white stock nearby and gave me details. Then I confirmed stores were still selling contract free, as the website wasn't, and she said she'd check the system while I was on. Surprised her to find that I was right and they wouldn't be able to sell as the price was gone from the computer :(

I was looking at the CPW website this morning.

The 16gb version was the first to drop off followed by the 32gb version !

Sad fact that theirs more of a kickback for selling on contract and upgrades !

For me i'll be buying off Apple sooner or later.

Which CPW store did you call, was it meadowhall?

Im in sheffield and looking for a sim free 32GB but might get a 64gb if there is one available

I was told my Iphone was shipped yesterday,as the tracking page doesnt help me,how long does it usually take to arrive/

Gave up waiting -

bought the 64gb White from CPW for £699

Tmobile sent ne a nanosim free, and will unlock the phone for £15.32

Are you already with T-Mobile or will they unlock if you just put any PAYG nano sim in?

T-Mobile procedure is you need to use the phone on T-Mobile ( or have had a contract) for at least 30 days. Payment for the unlock (they call it "subsidy pin" charge) is £15.32 and they can be slow to process, they can take up to a month.

I have a 16gb 5 that i want to replace with a 32, having had no luck with the reservations im thinking of going down the cpw route, as Im a tmobile customer I have no real problems with it being locked to t-mobile as long as it can be unlocked in the future for travelling/re-sale purposes. can anyone confirm that once unlocked by tmobile the iphone will behave the same as a factory unlocked iphone & if replaced by apple will I have to pay tmobile again for an unlock etc.

No, once unlocked, always unlocked. Any replacement carries over the unlock status and any remaining warranty of the original.

Anyone had any luck with reservations? They are not accepting any at the moment.
I was not going after the 5, but my 4 got stolen and the police are not very eager to help even with FMI

UPS Tracking

Anyone had any luck with UPS tracking webpage? I put in the number that starts with '8' which Apple give me on the 'Shipment Status' page bt it doesnt work. Tried the PO number and the Web Order number, they dont work either. It was shipped yesterday via UPS, delivery by 12th oct.

Has anyone used Orange Early Upgrade?

Ordered Mine 28th Sept. Keep getting "We haven't forgot you texts"

I have the same problem, apparently tracking number begins with 1Z and we should be given that soon! my phone is in that same shipment! Hope it comes soon :D

Mines due for delivery on the 9th & I don't have my 1Z number yet. I'm presuming it may come tomorrow.

does anybody know if UKMail will deliver next door if I leave a note? I'm leaving one anyway but would be nice to know if I'll be getting it tomorrow or have to go pick it up :)

Hey guys. What's going on with availability in London White City Store?
Anyone knows? The reservation will be working tomorrow?
Is it possible because of the new week starting to have big availability?

Do they unlock 5's yet though? I would assume so as it's done via IMEI and Apple's database? I managed to grab an iPhone 5 from CPW and it locked to t-mobile. Not that it really matters as I'm on T-Mobile.

Good question, probably only they would know, if you are already on T-Mobile give 150 a ring, and ask. I can't see them saying no if you are already a contract holder.
