I have been trying for a 64GB sim free black via reservation for a week and a half now - every day. Always at White City, but sometimes also at some of the other London stores. No joy.

is it quick to activate the 5 on contract with the new nano sim? do i need to speak to somebody? keeping the same number.
Looks like mine is coming tomorrow. Syncreon tracking still has it at HINCKLEY GB this morning!

If you go to www.ukmail.com, and type your tracking number (should begin with an 822*******) into the reference number section under Parcel Tracker, hit Go! It should come up with a Consignment Search Results page and you should see your consignment number along with your Customer Reference, also a Consignment Status (should say Out For Delivery).
If you click on the More Info section under UnSecure, you can get more detail on your order.

Im waiting for my Orange IP5 to be unlocked, as am off travelling for work, so need to use local sims whilst away, told it would be £20.42 and would take upto 20days for the email to come through to say plug it into Itunes.
He did say that it is 3mths for new accounts and for old accounts it can be done straight away..

Be warned. It's 20 WORKING days. Orange and t-mobile both took over 6 weeks to unlock our iPhones and that was with regular nags. They just kept telling me that it has been sent to apple who have a delay which is bs as apple unlock within minutes. They managed to squeeze and extra 2 months fees out of me.

Syncreon are a logistics company, they move items in bulk around, they don't do individual deliveries. Unless of course you've ordered a 1000 phones

Just put in my 822 reference number on UKMail website... then got the tracking details... so, it's sending using UKMail instead of UPS this time... my 1st iPhone 5 was delivered using UPS so I expected it to be UPS this time round too...
I received the email shipment notification from Apple, there was a button to click for tracking, which then opens a page for your Apple orders, where there is yet another button to click for tracking, which then opens up your shipment status, it's here where you can see your tracking number possibly starting 1Zxxxxxxxxx
Mine is out for delivery with UPS, should have had it sent to my place of work...but then I doubt I'd have been able to sit still and work
Would also be good to see what the condition is like with these delayed batches, for those that already had theirs delivered this morning.

Well .. Apple made it .. delivered just now on the last day of their delivery window I'm almost positive though that I've not been given a weeks worth of 'window' before!
The phone is lovely .. WAY lighter and thinner than my 4S and one teeny tiny scratch near the sim slot but I only saw it because I was looking specifically because of the 'scratch-gate' thing!
Now to back up and get using it .. fun fun fun
(Will start waiting for the Mini iPad thread now lol)

I looking to get a Black 32GB on a new O2 contract. I've been trying to go the Apple reservation route (got a 4S successfully this way last year) with no luck, so far.
Whats my best option here? I've placed an online order this morning with CPW who are claiming next-day delivery on this model for new contracts - but have yet to hear back from them with a confirmation. Do they really have it available?
I could also try O2 stores (I'm in London). But it sounds like some stores are out of stock even if they have availability listed on the online stock checker?

Just order one online and continue trying the reservation. If you get lucky, cancel your online order!
nipped out to the shops for 15 minutes because I wasn't expecting delivery till 6pm as estimated in the tracking....
looks like they've attempted delivery at 2pm when I was briefly out

I managed to buy one from them 3 days prior to launch (32GB Black Sim free)
Was delivered as promised on release day.
The only delay may be the contract processing...
