Over here in Barcelona for the weekend and managed to order via the iOS app in 5 minutes. Very happy! :D 32GB Black. Conformation email through also......

Stuart.

ordered! Black 64gb boom!

Top tip is to use firefox, worked 1st time! Safari wouldnt work, and still won't!

There wasnt an option to collect in store tho, so looks like i'll be waiting for Mr post man to arrive!

Do they use royal mail?

I'm 11 months into my 4S contract and I'm considering buying it out to upgrade to the 5 (I'd rather be on this 2 year schedule than the 'S' updates schedule)

How much do 16gb White iPhone 4S's go for second hand? Its in great condition, I'm actually going to be getting my device replaced cause it has the volume hardware bug and Apple replace devices with it.

Its your money, and im not telling you how to spend it, but seriously 4S to 5?

i was on the fence yesterday about doing it myself, but the more i look at specs the more i think its not worth it this time round, unless you want more memory i guess.

EDIT: Store is working fast for me on Firefox and Safari on Mac atleast.

Ah shame! I ordered the 32gb Black, delivering to Heywood so not far from you (if your name is where you are...) and it says delivers on 21/09.
Then ordered a 16gb black for a colleague to same address, also delivers on 21/09

Website came up for me on my Mac using Safari but is down on my PC using Chrome or Firefox.

Also down on Safari using my iPhone.

**TRY A DIFFERENT BROWSER**
tried about 100 times on app store with no luck.

Safari says store down.

Chrome went through first time. Got email.
App didn't work so I tried Chrome on my mac.

That didn't work at first then did after a couple of refreshes.
As of now, 8:40am (UK time) Chrome still isn't getting through! Still the We'll be back message... Even that delivery info link someone posted isn't work.

Are Apple only selling stand alone iPhone 5 and not iPhone 5 with contracts???

I was able to buy a contract iPhone from Apple since iPhone 4!

********** Barclays Bank!!

Declined about a hundred times, had to go through fraud prevention 30 mins later, STILL nothing.

Then some idiot from india calls asking the same questions!!

W*nkers!

*sigh*

At least it's done now.

Had exactly the same problem :p thank goodness its gone through now though.

Three must be getting ready to release their prices...

Doesnt lead to anything yet!

EDIT: Reverted back to 'Register Interest'

I was ready to pre-order but there is so little information about on the nano sims I have decided to wait as I would be incredibly hacked off to end up with a £600 phone with no sim card.

3 are already allowing you to get a nano sim, and O2 seem to be doing the same :S

In UK? Apple have never done contracts on UK apple store.

My iPhone 4 and 4S shipped from the UK. Maybe it depends on where in the UK you live. Although with a week until they are delivered they will probably have been stockpiling them in the UK, normally there is a bigger gap between pre-orders and delivery.

I'd imagine they are either already in the Syncreon warehouse (assuming they are using the same handlers as they did with the iPads), or on their way. If the same as the iPads it'll be this warehouse.

Been an O2 customer for many years now, the last two on a SIM plan with a bought-outright Android phone, and was planning to switch to T-Mobile in order to take advantage of EE, and their subsidy of the phone.

Problems with this:

1. You can't have it delivered to your work address, so I'd have to queue at the damn Post Office
2. The estimated dates are vague "as soon as it's in stock" - when will that be?
3. Reading terms of switching to EE when it launches, you have to sign up to a new fixed term, so then you'll be out of cycle

So I did some very basic calculations. Turns out to get a SIM plan the same as the iPhone plans is £21/month at the moment, with only a 12 month commitment. Getting this and buying the phone from Apple, in the case of the 32GB model at least, ends up only £20 more over 24 months.

So I did that instead.

I felt the same, but with being out of warranty on the 4s's now I just cant go forking out for repairs/replacements if i go by how many times ive been to the genius bar in the last year. So may as well upgrade.

Only managed to get one at 8:23am, hope i'm still ok.

People talking of this confirmation email, is that the 'Apple Store - your order is being processed W....' ? Or is it a different email after that one.

Let me know please.

Does anyone know which UK networks are allowing tethering in iPone 5 new contracts?

I'm on Vodafone P&G now, so I'm free to choose any network.

Apple didn't sell iPhone 4 with contract on their site, at least not on preorder day. I ordered then, it was the same as now. Don't think they did for the 4s either, but since I didn't order then I can't be sure.

It's the order confirmation, so yes: 'Apple Store - your order is being processed W....'.

Apple Care for £69 would of been the cheaper option :D when that option was still open atleast :D
