Knew it, out for delivery from the Cumbernauld depot! Here's hoping it's last on their run so that there is a chance that I might be home in time, but I somehow doubt it. :(

I did this before for a micro SIM for an iPhone 5 so hope I will get it right again. Worst case I have an unactivated Giffgaff SIM here as a backup.

Not sure why you think the GiffGaff sim is the "worst case"? I've been on GiffGaff for a year now and have had excellent coverage and service.
For me, the Giffgaff sim would be option one (especially as you already have it!)

I called UPS again, and they keep saying my delivery date is Wednesday 2nd, so it will be delivered tomorrow. :(

Sigh...
 
My Apple Store App just notified me that the phone is being delivered today.

I wondered what was going on when all my devices started beeping at me. :)

Ah, yes I can see how it could be read that way....

What I meant was... worst case = I make a complete hash of chopping up my current Giffgaff micro SIM trying to get it down to nano SIM size! :)

I have no issues with Giffgaff and would recommend them to anyone!

Ok I am planning to buy 5S can anyone tell me the best deal I can get with some Student discount near Preston,Lancashire or online.
 
Late to the party I ordered a 32gb Space Grey today, so what should I expect delivery wise?

Mid or End of October?

Out of interest why didn't you order a Free nano sim from the giffgaff site and use the sim swap feature? Once you have the nano sim you can do the switch online yourself in about 30 seconds.

iPhone's very rarely (i.e. never) get discounted on launch - sometimes you can get on contract with networks through cashback websites like quidco but again it tends to be that tese offers don't kick in for a few months after launch of a new model

Apple educational discount only applies to macs and iPads not iPhones or mini iPads currently.
 
Right all - For all those that had a scheduled delivery date for tomorrow but are out for delivery today - Has anyone recieved their 5S's yet?? Waiting for UPS is difficult ;-)
 
Long thread, sorry if this has been answered before but how does the availibility of the iphone 5s looks like in the london apple stores? Can I just go to Regent Street for example and expect to pick one up?

Think most stores are out but you may be lucky, think the previous 2 pages had some stores which had been check today.

Same here - other stock went to Castle donnington and have been delivered.
