UK iPhone 5s and 5c Thread

Flights are still being made by UPS today, taking the route the phones have been which leads me to believe that UPS haven't shut down for the holidays and are still making deliveries.

Is that route not Shenzhen > Hong Kong > Dubai > Cologne > UK from what I've frequently seen people posting?

That's two Chinese regions which are officially on holiday and UPS has stated they are on holiday for three days.

Just because flights are still moving I wouldn't take that as gospel, an aircraft sat doing nothing isn't making any money so could still be carrying other goods or picking up in other countries etc.

The critical aspect is whether UPS are making pickups from Apple/Foxconn then processing it at the UPS airport hub before it goes to Hong Kong etc.

As I said, I just don't see it given how long its already been, but once again, I'd like them to prove me wrong.

They have to get to Hong Kong first though. Hopefully in time, but who knows.

Maybe the previous thing you're referring to was referring to ordinary service, like postal delivery eg. The Royal Mail

It's the only explanation why my shipping label was created today.

The only bad thing is, the next flight to europe is tomorrow 17:40 from hong kong.

So has anybody here who already has an iphone 5S got one from Carphone warehouse hassle free online?

I got one from them last week - ordered it online at 8.30 pm on Sept 23rd and it arrived at 12.30 the next day - 16 hours in total.

It is a 64GB Space Grey and I paid the normal Apple price for it (£709)

Now locked to O2 but not a problem for me as I intend to stay with O2 anyway.

Yes labels may have been created today, but that is done by the customer in the distribution part of the factory, who clearly are still working through the holiday, not UPS. It's whether UPS actually pick them up though. If UPS were working the holiday to collect Apple products, then given its now nearly 9pm in Shenzhen on the second day of the holiday period, you would have thought they would have already made a pick up by now. Which is why I feel we won't see them picked up until tomorrow. Again, I'm more than happy if that turns out to be wrong, meaning I get my phone sooner.

I'm hating UPS now.
My phone still hasn't arrived after status changed to "out for delivery" since yesterday, but didn't turn up at all as I waited whole day.
So it says out for delivery today again!

Again, waited the whole morning didn't turn up. (it's a business address so it'll be before 3pm)

So they'll never deliver! What should I do?

Walked into Three store at 12:30, walked out at 12:45 with a 32GB Space Grey. Sales guy had to ask permission from store manager, and then "forgot" to apply "the discount" to the £699.99 that was showing on the screen.

Of course I got it down to £629 (same as Apple), but I've still got to pay £15 to get it unlocked. Not a huge compromise for a hassle-free purchase. Store manager was a bit of a hero to be honest.

I've lost count as to how many CPW and Three stores I've been to around the Manchester area and all flatly refuse.

I'll be happy if my online order turns up tomorrow and I can unlock it by the weekend. It's been a really poor buying experience all-round given the scalpels, stock shortages and arbitrary selling decisions by other retailers.

UPS customer service has been always very helpful
They contact the driver and pass your request to deliver it early or later

Personally UPS is the best courier in the world
