I'm currently with O2 on a Simplicity 20 for iPhone plan. It's a rolling contract which I've been on for what, maybe three years now?
I remember that tariff, they made sure to cut back on the data allowance when we upgraded to the iPhone 4.

Both Giffgaff and Three have unlimited data plans now between £12-15/month but the basic 4G plans are £26 for 1 GB on both O2 and EE, imagine how they could have ended up at the exact same price, some coincidence! Vodafone don't even offer a 1-month 4G SIM-only plan, it's 12 months minimum.

It's almost like the networks have cosied up together and agreed not to compete on price. And then in complete contrast Three say they won't charge any more at all for 4G. I hope they have the backbone capacity to handle 4G as I can see a lot of people switching to Three.

What was the website again?

Well my silver 32Gb 5s I ordered from CPW yesterday evening has arrived. Bigger than my iPhone4 (obviously) but also lighter. So much faster than my 4 as well, slowly getting used to the fingerprint unlock. So simple to restore from my iPhone 4 backup on itunes, and the GiffGaff sim picked up the network settings automatically. Overall I'm grinning like a Cheshire cat at the moment :D

Persevere people and you will get your iPhones, good luck everyone

2 x 16GB iPhone 5S Gold Delivered just now, ordered on the 20th via apple website, with confirmation email 00:06.

How do you figure that? UPS China have stated they are closed from the 1st to the 3rd. Even if nothing moves for the next 3 days the stock will still arrive inside the original delivery estimate Apple gave (so perhaps Apple factored in the close down period).
Looks like I was not that wrong, as lots of people had their phones shipped today.

Hi Guys.

Quick question. My 5s has arrived at work (whoop!), I’m looking forward to getting home to activate it. However. From those of you that have recently activated your deliveries. Can you tell me if it is necessary to have a working credit / debit card associated with your Apple/iTunes Account?
Silly question I know! But I only have one card, this expired end of September, and I haven’t been sent the replacement yet!
Is a phone activation one of those situations where they do a small ‘test charge’ to the bank account (?), or is it enough that I have ‘a’ card registered to my iTunes account?

Thanks!

Gaaah, seeing that some of you got status dispatch for about 10-20 minutes ago. Refreshing my ordersatus on apple site all the time now. One of my orders have been in "Preparing for dispatch" since Monday  :(

Hopefully we should be in the next batch heading out for the UK - fingers crossed, but as others have said with the 'october' timeframe they could dispatch on the 31st and still be correct, here's hoping they dont!

I don't believe there is any requirement to have a valid card linked to activate your phone. A lot of people have accounts that they only ever top up from gift vouchers.

Received dispatch confirmation of Gold iPhone 32GB at 14.04....expected delivery date is next Wednesday 9th October within the delivery timescale :)

64gb Gold

I too am now getting via UPS that a label was created today for shipping my 64gb gold. I signed up for e-mail and SMS updates the package but Apple store app and online still showing as preparing for despatch.

UPS website states it is being sent by UPS Worldwide Expedited Delivery which means delivery in 3-4 days (and not 3-4 business days) but that clock won't start til it is collected
