they still need to go to the depots in our areas, no? i dont think they ll go straight from the airplane onto trucks that go to your particular area to deliver..

Ordered my gold 32gb from carphone warehouse on the 20th when the delivery date was the 4th, rang up today to make sure it was definitely coming and the man said it will be with me for tomorrow. Got a text after a couple of hours saying:
Due to unexpected widespread stock issues at Apple we will not be able to deliver your iPhone 5s on Friday as expected. We will be in touch to confirm your delivery date as soon as your iPhone 5s is available. We are really sorry for the delay and have added a £15 in store credit to apologise. This will be added to your account within the next 7 days. If you have any questions please call us on 08000933007.

You mean the crap that is the S4? i was in the same boat, i had the 4S and decided to try the S4, biggest mistake i made! I sold the S4 and now waiting for my 5S, never again will i stray from

Seems to be more people yet to receive there Iphone 5S than got it.
I hope they realise Iphone 6 will be coming soon so people have to enjoy there 5S.

Phone shops around my area are expecting deliveries tomorrow of 5S'. Do you think our phones could be with them? If you get my point.
That happens pretty quickly over night provided they can actually get to the UK. If you look at other orders shipped to the UK, you can see this is the case, unless you live out in the styx or something.
It's getting moved on from Germany quickly which is going to be what everything hangs on.
Picked up a 32GB Space Grey at Festival Place at 1 PM today, the guy was saying they had all 3 sizes available in Space Grey, the Gold had sold out at that point.
I didn't query the silver, having looked at the Gold in person it is very subtle, at first glance it isn't obvious it is Gold, I wish they did a black and gold as to me that would look amazing.

I honestly believe that there are special trucks waiting on the UK landing strip, to pick these phones up and bring them too us...
On a serious note, the last two batches of phones have been sitting in germany for 48hrs before moving on...
i actually get it delivered to work, which is in a city centre and ups usually gets here around 9:20, i was just wondering if thats acutally doable for a flight that gets to london at 1am in the morning..hmm.

I've actually loved tracking my phone with everyone and seeing who's on the same flight as mine. Shame really because it'll probably be another 3 or 4 years before I buy another iPhone, providing this one doesn't break ¬_¬

Indeed, it's really down to the fact that there needs to be an onward flight scheduled soon after which it can make, plus they will need to further breakdown shipments as they go to other areas of Europe. I believe also that as its the first point of call in Europe, it undergoes customs clearance (which is why you see an import scan on the tracking). If it takes a while to clear, it will slow it down.

I'm coming from a 4 so it'll probably be quite noticeable how much better iOS 7 will run on my 5S. Tbh I adored my iPhone 4 until the home button began playing up and more recently the power button has broke :-/ the annoying part is I looked after it, and didn't carelessly drop it or anything :-/
Do we have a sense of when the next opportunity to go from "Preparing to Dispatch" to "Dispatched" will be, and when the next realistic flight out of China is for a package in the queue to dispatch now is? And then, when might it get to the UK and be delivered if all previous assumptions are right?
