UK iPhone 5s and 5c Thread

My 3GS is like brand new, not even a single scratch anywhere (without ever using a case, just a sleeve when inside the pocket).

I love my phone but it's gotten soooooo slow
256MB of Ram is too little nowadays, so I can't wait for the ultra slim and light 5S :)
 
Mine actually dispatched quicker than I thought - only preparing for dispatch for about 12 hours - and I am due to receive next Tuesday, being in the 8 - 11 October delivery group. Currently about to depart from Shenzen on 20.30 but no idea where to.

I'm also upgrading from a 4. I wanted to upgrade last year but couldn't justify it at the time and my 4 was still running pretty well.

My home button is very temperamental now. Double clicking doesn't work most of the time. And iOS is getting a bit sluggish on it.

Like you I have taken good care of it. Well I had until it slipped out my hand a few weeks ago. At first I didn't notice but the next morning I discovered a crack from top to bottom. Luckily it didn't shatter so it's no less usable. Very annoying though.

Good news then :) my only thinking is that UPS have said Monday for mine on the tracking, are they accurate or could it in fact be early :confused:

Remember that some have been flown into East Midlands Airport. Then there is the fact that items are then quickly moved between depots overnight. So there is still a good chance unless you live somewhere really remote.
 
So we haven't figured out what times the UPS pickups from Apple are, and what time the Euro-bound flights are?

A few days ago, it seemed like we had a few logistics-experts and novice flight-trackers posting.

Maybe they're all playing with their new phones now.

Meant to add, good luck for an early delivery for those of you still waiting and let's hope it's worth it. Coming from a 4 I think it should definitely be so for me!
 
It's here :) 32gb 5s ordered from CPW yesterday online, delivered by DPD just now.

I've got a 16gb 5 that is my work phone and a 32gb 5s as my personal phone.
Look like a nice couple :D

The old black 5 makes the space grey 5s stand out.

Hopefully my Apple Cases will arrive tomorrow.

If you go to page 172 of this thread (and others) you'll see a screenshot of a tracking.

Phones normally left China in the evening (local time), arriving at Hong Kong about midnight and then heading out for Dubai around 7am. They then left there and often got to Cologne about midnight. The flights from HK are often US bound but call in at Dubai on their journey. Hong Kong airport websiite shows the cargo departures as does Dubai.

It seems that Cologne generally did an import scan - presumably as the port of entry to the EU - and that meant they missed that night's flights to the UK, so they stay in Cologne for 24 hrs or so. Once they leave Cologne in the early hours you generally get delivery that day. Don't get too worried if it arrives in the UK and then seems to stall. tracking on the final stretch seems patchy. Some got delivery before UPS showed the package leaving the depot.

Its worth the wait believe me.
 
Ordered my 16gb grey 5s from Apple on Tuesday evening, when am I realistically looking at for delivery? :(

Is anyone having luck tracking the 5X3 flight from Dubai to Cologne? FlightRadar only seems to be showing the HK to Dubai leg with no sign of onward movement..?

I can't seem to find it at the moment also, but it is definitely flight number UPS3 flying an MD11 aircraft. I think it gets in around 2300z. And then hopefully on to STN a few hours but tbh I'm not holding my breath for that.

UPS say they will deliver on Monday, but I see it that it could potentially come tomorrow (friday) if not then Saturday. I don't really see it coming as 'late' as monday unless UPS know something we dont.

cologne then stansted.. ups doesnt deliver on saturdays unless its been paid for extra.
