There is a lot of us in the same boat. Here's hoping for some kind of movement in the next few days :) Everyday I say "surely it'll dispatch today" and nothing happens.

Just to note my order went back to 'Preparing to Dispatch' last night too, so I didn't bother calling in the end. Hope yours and mine dispatch soon.

I cannot take this any more, I am gonna leave it today, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA:mad:

I've just called Customer Services and they can't tell me anything other than what's on Order Status. They are unsure of why It keeps going back and forth and basically said sorry for the inconvenience but there isn't anything they can do. They assured me that my order is still valid though, whatever that means.

What a shambles.

For a company that specialises in IT, it's disgraceful that they cant get this right. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence. I'll be calling them to make a complaint. It happening once I can let go, twice is taking the pi**.

It means there's no problem with the part of the transaction that involves them taking your money.

A fair few people in the US who rang to complain about the slow shipping apparently got a free case (or discount vouchers for the Apple Store) out of it, anyone in the UK had similar results from a strongly-worded phone call? ;)

Just spoke to customer service. They said they have been told that this is happening due to a glitch in their system. I made it clear that this doesn't exactly look good on them and lodged a complaint.

It gets worse. Not only do we have to put up with this awfully slow service, we get false, misleading order statuses that don't tell us anything.

OK, to pass the time during our seemingly interminable wait and keep Hyperpulse and aeroalex's minds occupied ;), what are people's thoughts on the best UK carrier for 4G? ATM I'm with O2 (still on my grandfathered unlimited data contract from the original iPhone) but i'm open to changing - even if I stay with O2 I'll need to change contract for 4G and the unlimited data will go away. Obviously EE have the biggest network (and will do for a few months I guess), but I hear bad things in other threads about dropped calls etc. with them. All the big players' coverage maps are pretty similar for my home and work (except EE has weak 4G at my house and the others don't). Any thoughts?

If I were you I would ignore any 'Preparing for Dispatch' status and just look out for that all important e-mail with tracking info. Really really poor for a company that SPECIALISES IN IT for their order system to be reporting wrong.

I think that's what I'll have to do. It's still infuriating all the same waiting for that all important Dispatch date.

I'm sorry to hear a lot of you are having trouble getting your new phones :(

I got my 16gb space gray 5s from O2, but I paid £529.99 for it. When I look on the apple store they seem to start at £549 for some reason. Have they gone up in price or is the reduction due to being on contract?
