UK iPhone 5s and 5c Thread

Just noticed that it changes from Processing Items to Preparing for Dispatch Dispatched: October 24-28 Delivery: 04 Nov, 2013 by Standard Shipping . The delivery date remains the same.

Ordered on 23 SEP. Looooooonnng waiiitttt. :apple:

Has anyone who previously tracked their phone gone through louisville --> East midlands?

The next UPS flight to Anchorage from HK is at 00:30 on the 13th October (China time)
Then another one again at 02:35

The next UPS flight to Dubai from HK is at 03:25 on the 13th also.

I wasn't expecting our phones were on UPS59, anyway they will be delivered by next Wednesday.:cool:
 
Hey guys my Gold 5s is estimating dispatch by 18th, will my phone be on the UPS flight from HK to Anchorage on the 13th Oct? Hopefully I will get it before the 18th, I have checked the Tracking by Reference and no shipping label has been created yet.

UPS won't create a label until it's literally just about to be dispatched, I'd leave it until tomorrow night to see... I'm not sure they dispatch at the weekends though.

Hmm... Apple's dispatch/delivery estimates are quite inaccurate though so you never know!

does the status not show you an estimated delivery date?
 
Just received an email from Apple with the following:

"Your iPhone 5s will ship by October 18. When it ships, you'll receive a notification email with your estimated delivery date and tracking information."

Looks like those who have October 18th as a confirmed dispatch date might get them before the estimated delivery date online.

Got the same email but the subject said W419478100 which is far from my order number?

Yes the estimated delivery date is the 25th but I know I will get it a few days before that... Maybe on the 20th-23rd. Depends how fast they dispatch it, Apple seems to be moving online orders quickly... so you never know.
 
My order number has changed since I ordered, any idea why? Can't believe it'll be 6 weeks from order to delivery

I think the next batch will leave next Friday the 18, like a batch left today (Friday). so if the people from today receive on wed the 16 the u will probably receive on wed the 23rd. wait to see when the guys from today's batch receive it.

I just double checked and the order number on my email (W436118699) doesn't match the actual order number for my iPhone, nor any of the other order numbers sitting in my orders list. Strange.

Yeah, all of this 5S is a large cockup for mr Tim Cook. This isn't even a minor undersupply like some marketing departments do, e.g. before christmas, in order to achieve a greater attention about their product and wind up prices given the limited availability.

There have been so many things that went tits-up - just look at the Gold colour. Its not that the R&D of Apple just looked at the color pallette and said HEY THIS IS COOL LETS SELL IT. There must have been research, customer interest, actual results to see that the Gold is worth producing. And what, now they are "surprised"?

Its not like a big initial batch would have hurt them - they would have sold it until the iPhone 6 anyway. The complimentary cases are the little thing tht they would AT LEAST HAVE TO send to anyone.

You are getting confused, dispatch and delivery are different things (the words don't mean the same thing).

Dispatch is when it leaves the factory, so if dispatch is the 18th, that's the day it is handed to UPS.

Delivery will be 2-4 days after that, so 20-22 of October.

I've seen a handful of 16G Space Greys being given delivery dates today. Ordered mine on the 25th and still stuck on 'October' as of 2 minutes ago.

Really hope this is a system error because the Apple assistant I spoke to today was less than informed.

This is such a botched launch. :(

Not really, it depends on whose voicemail platform the networks use. If their chosen solution doesn't support Visual Voicemail, you're not going to get that service. 3 obviously feel it's not important enough to them to rip out their existing solution and replace it with a compatible one.
 
Tracking my iphone 5s and its currently in Hong Kong with scheduled delivery for 18th but hoping for earlier than that. Once I have my phone, I fully intend to complain to Apple. I ordered on the launch day (9.35am) and was given a very ambiguous October date. I have had such a stressful time over this. The fact that Apple cannot give any information or firm dates to customers is just appalling. I will be telling Apple to send me a free phone case and whats more I shall be telling them what colour I want!

Next time order earlier, or if you dislike a dispatch date don't order. You saw "dispatch October", still ordered and are now complaining because they are dispatching in October? :confused:
