Is the order number the same as tracking number for ups ? Or do you get a special number when order has dispatched. Just wanted to know how and when I should start looking at ups site. My order "will ship by 18th October" - is that ship from the factory? and can it be tracked from factory to my door or just when it gets to UK depot?

You can use your W order number on the UPS site if you select 'track by reference'. If it's not there, then UPS have not collected it yet. Once your order appears on there, you will be able to track it all the way to your door.

Exactly!!
So weird..but i can't help myself from checking my status order on apple website everyday/every hour. LOL its like a routine now for me hihi.

I was the same, checking it every minute of the day... especially when it was on 'Preparing for dispatch for 6 days in a row. In the end, after it started going back and forth from Processing to Preparing, I decided to stop looking at it and eventually my phone dispatched.

I didn't even have any expected dates of dispatch or delivery, most of the people in my batch were just left without a clue of when our phones would dispatch.

Thanks for that. :). It hasn't been created yet which is understandable. My W no. Has changed from the one on my order to the one I got in an email from apple. I will keep trying both.

I see Apple has improved its Online UK store to 2-3 weeks for all colours and storage combinations. My 16gb Gold ordered on the 20th is preparing for dispatch, estimated dispatch date 18th. My phone will be on preparing for dispatch for 72 hours (3 days), Ill see movement by late Monday night hopefully.

You're welcome. My advice if you are at status "Preparing for Dispatch" on the Apple site is to keep checking the UPS site, because UPS update their system faster than Apple do, so you will know sooner that it's actually on the way. Also, as soon as UPS have it, they may give you a different delivery date than Apple, and it's quite likely to be accurate.

ordered iphone 5s 64GB Gold from Apple Online store on 22nd September.

Changed yesterday from Processing Items to Preparing for Dispatch:

Dispatch Date; Oct 24-28
Delivery Date: 4 Nov

How do you so this? Do you use the W order number off Apple? Trouble is the one on the order page is different to the email I got confirming preparing for dispatch?

Is It just ups.com?

I have had such a stressful time over this. I will be telling Apple to send me a free phone case and whats more I shall be telling them what colour I want!

First world problems huh....

Im sure we will all get the phones we ordered and yes its a pain due to high demand and apple missing the boat with projections, but really?

That makes no sense, Monday is the 14th, if Apple have advised dispatch date is the 18th why would you expect movement on the 14th .

You do realise dispatch does not mean delivery? Dispatch is when it leaves the factory and is handed to UPS.

UK iPhone 5s and 5c Thread

Ok thanks, what about the date though? Won't let me pick up to Oct 25-29th as it states on email?

What about account and country also?

After just reading about 5 different articles on how the 5S is suffering from the dreaded 'Blue screen of Death' I now have a sudden sickening feeling.

It best not be a hardware issue... :(

Any of you that have the 5S already experienced this?

When it comes to reselling the phone, there is value in having an iPhone and retail box that have the same serial number, even better with a receipt with that number as well. This is strong proof that the phone is not stolen.

eBay (apparently) will not list sales of empty iPhone boxes because they are used to add legitimacy to stolen phones.

That's exactly what I was getting at!

You can mock, just got what I wanted. Apple say they are sorry my experience has not been the best etc etc. :)

Ummm, you're asking if UPS can predict when Apple will ask them to collect your order from the factory? UPS tracking tells you things that have already happened, that's why you can't enter a future date ;)

No not predicating future sorry, bit confused thought you could type it in to see?

iPhone 5s 16GB Gold ordered on 21/9 now preparing for dispatch! Money has been taken out of account too. Dispatch dates (24-28th October) and Delivery date (4th November) still the same though.

But you will get a new phone. Just without all the other stuff as you already have it. Whats wrong with a new phone in a white box vs a new phone in a retail box?

Also, its not irrelevant. You asked the question, I gave you an answer, thats perfectly relevant. Dont get grumpy with me because I didnt give you the answer you wanted.

Your getting a new phone. End of!

I don't want to upset you, but you can't go around telling people that a service unit is brand new when no one not even in apple can guarantee that a service unit is made of brand new parts. it maybe brand new but there is no guarantee. I think people who are within their return period deserve to get a brand new retail retail unit as it wasn't their fault they that received a phone with a defect/scratch/etc, the best you can get apple to commit to is calling it "as-new"
some people who went to Genius appointments were advised by Genius Bar to exchange at point of purchase to guarantee brand new replacement.
I understand from your previous posts that you accepted a service replacement and recon it is brand new and I hope that it is, but to volunteer advise to people that a service replacement is indeed brand new made of totally brand new parts is not fair as no one in apple can guarantee that. also your pervious post stating that if one would buy from apple in the uk they would have 6 years apple care is totally untrue. again I am not posting this to upset or provoke you in any way. I truly hope the service unit you have is indeed brand new and that you are happy with it. cheers.

Using the tracking on UPS it would appear my iphone 5s seems to be stuck in Hong Kong - anyone else got the same?

Arrived - Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong, Friday, 11/10/2013
Arrival scan 22.45
