UK iPhone 5s and 5c Thread

Do these new ones delivered all have no scratches/scuffs in perfect condition? Mine came their morning (Gold 32Gb), but I haven't opened yet as working, will be tomorrow.

Also week 41 is 14-20th Oct, they must be still tight with supply!

Also haven't seen any posts but how are the 5s holding up for scuffs in normal use? Any better than the 5? Is Gold ok? I know the 5 black was prone to it?

Thanks

That really sucks dude. What's the plan now?
I phoned today to ask what was happening and had a bit of a moan. The apple rep actually said to me "we don't do good will gestures on new products" which was laughable and infuriating at the same time, I didn't even ask him for a good will gesture lol

Well that sucks! What you going to do? Send it back? I'm regretting sending mine back, but I wanted it new from the box - you know like I paid for! I know the original has made it back, but the replacement is sitting at processing item, but with a delivery date of 18th - 22nd Oct still. I'll give them a phone tomorrow to 'remind' them ;)

Yes it does suck!

Anyway, yeah it's going back. It's a bigger problem than the original issue. I have read that stuck pixels sometimes fix themselves but I'm not taking that chance and they can keep sending new ones til it's right as far as I'm concerned.

The service I have received has been very good which is one positive. When I called today I the guy wasn't sure what the procedure was so spoke to his supervisor. The supervisor was apparently confused by the fact I still had the original phone. But after that was cleared up he was happy to issue another replacement, once I have returned the original phone. That's fair enough. I've to email him when the phone is picked up and he'll "get that replacement replacement sent right on out to [me]". TNT pick up the original on Thursday. Then I'll have to return the stuck pixel phone at a later date.

Today for the first time I asked about compensation. I accept that not every iPhone can be perfect but this is the second time they have let me down so I don't feel bad asking about that. The answer was that a discussion will be had once I am satisfied with my purchase.

Any indication when you will get your replacements?

He said it may move from processing to shipment tomorrow, so anywhere between the 18th-22nd, which it always said on the website. I had a feeling my main rep was telling porkies

I was thinking about doing that! But I've got a nano sim on its way from Orange now :) Means I still have to wait!

Am I right in saying that the sim free phones from Apple don't lock to a network?

No, it always stays unlocked, no matter what.

16GB Gold iPhone 5S finally dispatched today around midday! Estimated delivery was the 4th of November but UPS are showing it as the 17th of October. Phone currently in Hong Kong :)

Mine was in Hong Kong on Saturday (12th), but it says today it's in London, estimated delivery date is 22nd October (ordered 30th Sept)

So, after UPS messing up and moving my order to Watford, it has just departed and I will definitely have it tomorrow :D

Edit: It has now arrived in Barking… Still nowhere near where the delivery location is, but there is a UPS depot 5 minutes away from my house so maybe it will move to there. Hmmm

My replacement has gone preparing to dispatch. Are you still processing?

Anybody order around the 26th? That's when I ordered and I've got the 4th of November delivery date which is quite shocking, hopefully it'll be here sooner. What you guys think? Any body had dispatch email that ordered around same time?

I ordered on the 25th (Space Grey 16G) and still have received no delivery dates. Was told last Friday on the phone to Apple that (1) the dispatch processes work on a strict first come, first served basis; and (2) my status should update in 'a couple of days'. No such luck.

Getting incredibly frustrated with this now.

Ordered 6th of October

32 SILVER

Still no movement apart from "dispatched by 18" - weve heard people have earlier dispatches thus deliveries and lets hope its our case?

Ordered 4th of October

16gb SILVER

Still no movement apart from "dispatched by 18".....OMG IT`S INSANE
