I wrote to Tim Cook a few days ago to complain, and I just had a call from someone because of it lol.

What did they say?! And which department were they from?
 
Sometimes the tracker takes a while to update. Mine's been doing that since it left China haha. So there's a chance it could be on that flight but only time will tell I guess :)

Hmm still the same, don't think we'll be getting them tomorrow. Oh well, Thursday sort of works out better for me anyway seeing as I can't get a sim for it until then anyway.

Don't think I can think of anything more torturous than having it and not being able to use it properly!
 
He said he was online store executive. I was driving at the time and he said it was a courtesy call and he was going to call me in the morning for a more in depth chat

Is yours shipped yet? Mine is now in Hong Kong. Not gloating I need to stress, just wondering if we are on the same flights? Scheduled for 17th (from UPS) but I think its more likely to be Friday.

Here's my advice: if your order from the Apple Online Store is faulty, contact Online Store aftersales, not AppleCare. Afrersales are far, far better in my experience.

I don't think it's that aftersales are better as they both do very different things. But they are definitely the people to contact in this situation.

I'll reserve judgement until the replacement arrives. If it's got a dead pixel too, I'm not getting another one. It's ridiculous enough as it is.
 
UPS are so bloody useless! Replacement phone has been out for delivery since 6.22AM. Well it is now 7.20PM and no phone. Sooo glad i didn't bother skipping work this time cos i had a feeling they'd do this nonsense again. It happened when the iPhone 4 came out.

I'm thinking the driver has put me last on his rounds and just up and left once his shift ended.

Now i'm stuck with no phone. Just tracking brilliant. :mad:

Still waiting on my replacement. It's been more than 5 working days and they haven't dispatched it yet.

Mine says 3-5 days too and it has a weird estimate date which is more than 5 working days but I had that with my initial iPhone order too so I'm not worried about that.

just calm man...think that other people who ordered at launch day have still NO phone...

Strangely enough mine has gone to dispatched and is now showing for a delivery of today (16th). The shipping is by SYNCREON, and it's currently showing my phone in Hinckley. Apples website shows 16th delivery, and SYNCREON shows 16 or 17. I have a feeling due to my many complaints mine has been expressed through from some back up UK stock they have. Hopefully it does show up. I'll be delighted if it shows up, I would be grateful but honestly this should have been done in the first place considering mine wasnt a problem with the levels but it actually didn't work. (obviously thats an annoying issue, but at least the phone works until you get a replacement)

This does sound like a unique arrangement, I don't recall anyone else in here getting one from UK stock?

not to be a big downer but shipped in 3-5 days (like it said mine) does not include however many days it's stuck in processing. Good luck though, hope you get yours soon

Interesting. Certainly the first I've read of a retail unit coming from UK stock. Fingers crossed for you. Yours is the phone not recognising SIM card, right?
 
Finally got my text from UK mail for my EE upgrade 16gb Space Grey being delivered tomorrow, to my work and typically that would be my day off! Oh well will have to go for a walk and pick it up!
 
Mine's gone overnight to (and has now left) Stansted. Not one to get my hopes up but seeing as it's in the country, does that mean I could see it today or are UPS going to stick to their word and deliver tomorrow?
 
Any of the week41 5s people have a yellow tinted screen?

Mine is (as far as I can tell, comparing it to my iPad and MBP) absolutely fine. No screen "interlacing", no yellow tint. I did have an odd camera bug today where it would appear to take the photos but not save them to the camera roll: cured by a reboot, I guess it's an iOS7 bug that will get fixed (I've reported it to Apple). Otherwise no issues (apart from the gyro, but I'm not really counting that as a problem at this point as it's so widespread and very likely to get fixed).

Not I am getting a problem after I agree to iCloud terms and conditions,
"Could not sign in....there was a problem connecting to the server"
Anyone have a clue what this is about

Ugh not it's saying

"Can't create Apple ID invalid device while updating mme delegate account"

Is this an iCloud problem on my end?
