Went to an EE store at 8am. They didn't have the 64GB white iPhone I wanted, (had everything else except any Gold devices!) so I joined the phone queue. Got through at about 8:40 and have one on order. They said on the phone it may take 28 days to arrive, and their website said the same at the time, but I received a text shortly after confirming delivery for the 21st. Well chuffed :)

Ordered through Apple this morning, but like a lot of people here, I cancelled and went through CPWH instead (simfree space grey 16GB, exactly what I wanted for saturday delivery!). I was planning to go with 3 anyway, so locking to then isn't a problem for me. I'll probably still unlock later though - I can vouch for 3 in that case. It's £15.32, so cheaper than some others, and I believe they quote 2 working days (though my last unlock was done in less than 24 hours). You can unlock straight away on a PAYG sim as well, which you can pick up easily (and cheaply!) though I'm not sure about the topping up rules. In any case, I found 3 really good when I was unlocking before, and they have great tariffs, so I'll be happy to do it again. Only downside is the lack of 4G until december, but for the price difference, unlimited data packs and transfer to 4G at no extra cost, I'm happy to wait!

I ordered mine within 15-30 seconds of the site being up. Let's be honest, barely any 5'S were in the country and the UK started out with 7-10 days.

That's why I decided to head out to my local Apple Store at 2am after doing the online order at 00:01, I just knew the online deliveries where going to be a problem.

I walked out of the shopping centre at 08:07 and now feel quite smug ;). Online order was cancelled on my iPad when I had my reservation card in my hand using the free wifi at the Apple Store.

Anyone who has ordered via CPWH receive a dispatch notification and able to track.

Using my order number in the DPD track website says no such parcel.

Yup, they've just created your order on the DPD system. Once they actually receive your parcel it will update. Check back at 8-9PM and it'll show something like it's been collected and in transit

I ordered over the phone. Rang back after my CC Fraud alert, and they said it's all going through fine. She gave me a tracking number, which states it's still waiting to be collected.

I gave her my email address as it wasn't on the record, so haven't and probably won't receive any emails about it.
Have just got a text at 5pm saying thanks for order... processed.. dispatching soon.. delivered Sat 21/09/13 by DPD.

DPD's website can be a bit hit n miss with updates sometimes. I've had stuff turn up in the past when the tracking said "Collected" and nothing more. Yet other times I've had stuff update regularly soon after the "event" it lists.

I don't understand why Apple is punishing those who ordered with them online?

My friend ordered his 32GB space grey at 2pm today from EE and it was shipped immediately.

Just annoying, but I'll live.

Your order number won't work. However, I just called up about 5 minutes ago (put my order in at about 12:30 this afternoon) and they were happy to give me the proper DPD tracking number, which is working, and confirmed that it will be arriving tomorrow. Calling up is your best bet!

My original order had my credit card declined. Phoned bank and got it sorted. Phoned CPWH back and the person was clueless. She created a whole new order and said it'll be delivered tomorrow. Didn't add my mobile/email and evidently had no idea what was going on.

She told me to use the order number with CPWH with DPD to track it. Something tells me it's actually a different number to track it.

Credit card been charged, so just hoping my 32GB silver turns up tomorrow.

I don't think anyone is being punished, the available stock was sent to Apple Stores and the networks, the online orders seem to be processing with dispatch from China.

They close at 7pm, so will call at 6:30 and see if I can get a tracking number off them.

Just to add to the others commenting, I've also had a text confirming delivery for tomorrow and my tracking number states " awaiting pickup " with tomorrows delivery date specified.

I only ran my second order through at 5pm, so no idea if I got in too late.

Will call in a minute and find out. I always get the feeling when I call that the person is thinking 'You've placed an order, it'll be delivered at some point, stop pestering us!'. :p

How was stock in Apple stores today? I had to work but am wondering if there's any chance of me getting a 32GB space grey 5S in my local apple store tomorrow morning so I can cancel my online order.

I don't think anyone knows until tomorrow if Apple will get stock delivered.

I'd imagine they'll get another batch, but once again it'll be gone very quickly.

Ah right, so all stock today would have sold out I'm guessing? I've never actually been in to an apple store for the laugh of a product before I've always just ordered or pre ordered online and had it come on release day.

Someone I know who works for EE said they'd received a huge amount of stock. More than they did for the iPhone 5 overall, but only a small of white and practically no gold ones.

I don't know what my Order number was, but the tracking number she gave me begins 1550 and is 15 digits long.

I ordered an iphone 5s gold 16gb today at 12:45 from apple online store, the delivery estimate simply states 'October', how long will this be!!??

The apple store went offline earlier so I was unable to order, every time I tried to order (early in the morning) the page didn't load and it went back to the start, it was very frustrating!!

Now I have to wait almost a month until my phone comes..... It currently says "your order is being processed'

For those who are quite rightly peeved at the profiteers trying to flip them on eBay. I've been watching a few and they are barely covering their eBay fees (and fees to those standing in line).

Especially this one who just sold it for £2.20 . That is not a typo, he will no doubt not be sending that one out ;) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271280917913?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

So far all those with Buy it now have gone unsold. A lot of people trying to sell one for £1300 (about the cost of 2 phones, trying to get their own phone for free no doubt).

To stop scalpers it's a case of no cash and proof of id so the name on the card matches the owner. Will stop them passing cards around or using stolen ones.

Good news is, there not getting the crazy prices on ebay. Been watching a few and they arnt going for over £100 more than the asking price. Hardly seems worth the effort and expense they have gone through. The benefit of being so many scalpers is the market is now flooded and the prices arnt what they hoped for.

£780 here - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/APPLE-IPH...75027?pt=UK_Mobile_Phones&hash=item232fd0e693

Phoned CPWH.

They said before even checking my order "No tracking number will be available until tomorrow once it's out for delivery and a delivery slot has been given.".

Looks like I wont know until tomorrow if mine's been one of the ones that's been dispatched.

I'm not sure why some are getting tracking numbers, while others aren't.

The one sold for £2.50 was ended by the seller. It did not sell via ebay. The "Already sold" means he gave the reason for ending the listing as already sold i.e. sold elsewhere.

Gold are going for £700+ for £16GB. Still not the mega profit some are expecting with their insane buy it now prices. Black is barely worth it for many as they are going for £600-£700.

Curses!

I orderd last night at 12:00 with my order including a 64GB white/silver iPhone, AppleCare + and a dock. The dock and AppleCare + were dispatched today by Synchreon Post with estimated delivery on the 25th. The iPhone still shows estimated dispatch in 7-10 working days for delivery in early October.

I'm actually surprised the dock and AppleCare + already shipped separately and would have thought they would have been sent out with the phone. I guess I can use the dock with my iPhone 5 in the mean time. If I manage to pick up a phone in retail before the online one is dispatched I will just cancel that order assuming the AppleCare + can be used with a different phone. I'm not sure if it is registered already with the existing phone on order.

You didn't read the auction properly, he ended it early, so either got an offer by private message or sold it off eBay. It didn't sell for £2.20.

This listing was ended by the seller because the item was sold.
