UK iPhone 5s and 5c Thread

While this is a busy thread compared to others, it's hardly so busy it cannot be followed.

I think it's better to keep all UK iPhone orders in this thread regardless of where they're from. Creating individual threads will mean they do not get as much interest and will quickly fall to the second page, as well as kill any potential 'atmosphere' in this thread.

People complain there's not a lot of atmosphere on the forums this year and the threads haven't got as much interest as last year, yet they complain about trivial things like this.

All just my opinion, of course.

I wasn't asking people to not talk about CPWH orders - I was asking for the two threads to be unmerged so they are more specialised.

I still don't see how it is fair for Americans to have unlimited amount of threads and we are only allowed one. Further more both threads were fully activate and were not even close to falling to the second page.
 
INFO FOR EVERYBODY PHONES4 U we're taking deposits, and guarantees you wouldn't have to waiting. So I put a £50 deposit on a iPhone 5s space grey 32GB from Monday 17th September 2013 then iPhone walked into my local phones4u on the high St. on the 20th and pick it up, the only issue I had was the fact that EE was busy and the network went down. I Paid £109 upfront for handset and I'm on a 24 month contract £46 per month and I get 10GB 4G internet. I'm so happy. But I'm sharing this info because if you can't get 1 straight away. Phone4u do the best bet for a contract iPhone 5s

Feel for everyone still waiting for updates on their online orders. Think I'd be the same if I hadn't gotten lucky at my local apple store on Friday afternoon and bought one there instead (they only had 64gb space grey left but that's what I wanted anyway :)). The thread seems to have turned into a UK waiting for delivery one rather than what it's like, but the wait will be worth it especially if you're moving from a 4S like I did. Hang in there! And hopefully cancelling my online order (which had been 7-10th of oct delivery), will help someone else along.
 
Anyone know when you get the confirmation from CPWH about delivery? Just a bit worried having seen on here people getting their orders cancelled about billing addresses etc. My delivery address is to my term time address, not my home address where my card is registered, does this cause any problem? Ordered yesterday afternoon, so hoping for delivery tomorrow but the only correspondence I've had is the order confirmation.

I got an email from CPWH as soon as I placed the order online. Heard nothing so phoned an hour or two later and my order was stopped due to my card being flagged for fraud.

Phone them and make sure. Most orders are fine I'd imagine. :)

That app is telling me my phone is coming by Austrailia post too! Also quoting 22nd September. Although the box says there's no shipping info available. According to this, when could we expect to see our phones? Could we see a delivery by Friday?

Thanks for the advice, just called and my order had been stopped due to my card being flagged! So asked them to change it to an in-store pickup, should be at the Hull store for me on Tuesday! :)
 
Anybody ordered with EE and heard anything? I ordered on Friday and still haven't had an email to say the order was completed or whatever, is this normal?

I've just tried that app and mine says exactly the same, 22nd September by Austrailia post.

The description is auto generated. If you run it again tomorrow it will say the 23rd.
 
If I order online from Carphonewrehouse Warehouse, sim-free, will it be quicker to deliver it to the store (and collect) or delivery straight to my door? It says expected delivery date (doesn't specify where) is Sept 30.

How do you put the request through ? I will need mine unlocked when it arrives

Usually they both come from the warehouse regardless - So if it's Sept 30th, it's that date for both.

It depends what's easier for you!

One more thing - I have a local CPW store that might have them in stock right now. If it is in stock, will the online page tell me (before I checkout) whether it's available now? Or will it just keep 30th ship date the same? Thanks for all your help, it is much appreciated. :)

CPW just called. They apologised for the £50 premium Increase and informed me the sales team were not aware of the discrepancy. My complaint has been escalated.

I urge all CPW customers to contact complaints to request a partial refund. We may get lucky.

If I get a 16Gb now from CPW for £589, should they give me a refund of £40? Is this the refund they are giving you?

This happened to me last year with an iPhone 5 from CPW. The only way round it was to stick a PAYG sim into it - leave it for 3-6 mths then try it.

That is their estimated arrival based on stock. The only ones they have in stock now are Black 32 and 64, next day anyway so it's better to order home.
 
My Apple account now says that my Gold 32gb 5s has been dispatched.

But still saying 7th to 10th Oct for delivery anyone else got this?

I think they are going to keep the premium on the 16 and 32 so they probably won't be refunding the 50£ unless you got the 64, which you did.
