How likely is it, that theyll update our order status to less than 7.-10. oct?
I know its coming from china, but surely once its in transit, it shouldnt take that long to get to the uk.

It should only take 48 hours from China to Doorstep once shipped .... we can only hope we get early shipping than the quoted 7-10 working....

My guess is we'll find out in the next 48 hours if anything's going to move.... If nothing happens by wednesday then i'm resigning to the fact i won't see iPhone until October

With the help of a deliveries (called parcel by a guy called ivan) app and my apple ordernumber, i have found out that mine has/is going to be shipped with australia post on sept. 22nd

Not sure what service theyre using, but it could come fast

I wouldn't have much faith in this. I think it tries to guess the courier from the number you type. But the apple order number wouldn't be used for tracking anyway. Also why would they be using Australia post?

Same here, 7-10 days still.

Even though it says 7-10 days, delivery is 8th-11th October? Would have expected it to be 1st-4th October?

I go past an Apple store twice a day, might pop in on the off chance, and then sell this one if I get lucky.

Are you in Australia? I tried the app you suggested and it said 22nd via Australia post for me too, but I'm in the UK so I don't think it's likely. I suppose it could be possible if the planes come from Australia and pickup in china then across to the UK - or maybe that's just wishful thinking.

Im in the uk as well.. Maybe its just wishful thinking, i did have a talk with an apple employee earlier who said that they could ship from everywhere

You should have asked them why the likes of CPW have so many phones but apples online customers have to wait weeks !

I just cancelled. I ordered at 12:10 am when it said dispatch 7-10 days. I've just checked and it's now an estimated delivery of 10 October. I figured if it's going to take that long I might as well wait it out and see what the Nexus 5 or new iPads bring.

I work hard and I'm lucky enough to able to upgrade most of my kit annually, but stacking all the new product releases to a single two month timeframe will make that difficult. I just don't think I can morally justify a new iPhone, iPad mini, iPad and Macbook in the space of two months.

I did ask them, they said places like cpw have preordered devices and that theyre not unlocked, then the guy from apple wanted me to call apples customer service (not free of charge)

Are CPW still selling the sim free 64gb space grey model? I called my local store who said they were out of stock and can't see anything on their site. A direct link would be helpful if anyone has it.

What are the chances of picking up a 5s next Saturday in either Arndale or Trafford Centre if I am there when the store opens up at 9am?

There was when I bought it on Friday...

Checking online now, this is correct!

There is still a £50 premium for silver and gold 64GB. Grey has no premium.

I don't mind awaiting so much if stock has run out everywhere else. If nothing has moved with my apple on line order by Wednesday I'll see what I can get from the store in Southampton or the local CPW, I'm not bothered about the sim lock issue, I can't see me wanting to move from griff gaff anytime soon.

You could get lucky, I understand the stores will continue to get limited stock throughout the week.

Update: just call their sales line. They have 64gb space grey models in stock and mine is getting shipped to my local store tomorrow. Exact same price as Apple, cases same price too.

I think mine is probably going to get to me in time for Halloween. Unless I take the trip to Glasgow when the Apple Store has stock.

Put through a request with EE yesterday to unlock my iPhone 5S I purchased via CPWH.

Got a text today saying Unlock request cannot be completed. IMEI number does not exist.

Phoned 150 and spoke to EE. They said they cannot unlock CPWH phones, only phones that were purchased via EE/T-Mobile/Orange. Their system simply does not allow it.

Slightly annoying, but as I'm on a 24 month roaming plan with them, it's not the end of the world. Just handy if I go to a country that doesn't work on EE and I need a local sim.

I wouldn't take something an EE customer service agent told you just to get you off the phone and clock up another closed call for them as gospel. It could be that the IMEI numbers aren't all on the system yet. I would try again in a few weeks just in case.

Will Tweet and ask them and definitely try in a few weeks. I'm sure there must be some way for them to eventually unlock them.

I'm moving to the US for 5 months in May, so hoping I can get it unlocked by then to chuck in a Straight Talk sim.
