I've been waiting since June to upgrade my iPhone 4 am going to see what everyone's pros and cons are of both phones before I upgrade. Also I've been with Vodafone for two plus years is it worth speaking to them before I get quotes from other places ie carphone wherehouse .?
Also and possibly this isn't the correct form can I get iOS 8 on my iPad Air? As I'd didn't upgrade my iPhone 4 to iOS 7 as I'd been adviced not to as I knew someone who tried it broke their iPhone 4?

Its going to depend on the network if you are not buying it from Apple.
Can you reserve for store pick up in the uk?
The apple store site just states they are on sale form 0800.

Did you get there before opening?
Well, after a couple of months with battery issues - my iPhone 5 now has a Sleep/Wake button issue.
Apple has a replacement program for both issues for a free repair - so I'll have to hold off selling my phone to a recycling company for a little while.
I'll order a return box from Apple mid next week, and then ship it out once I've got my 6 all set up.
So hopefully the recycling price won't drop too too much in that timeframe.

As far as I am aware Apple have never offered any kind of reserving facility in the UK. The options if you are ordering direct from Apple to get it on launch day is going to be pre-order for delivery or q'ing at the store.

Assuming its a: Black iPhone 5 64 GB, in perfect condition and unlocked the quote seems to be - £220.00.
The lack of OIS on the 6 is annoying as having tried it on a friends phone with it, it does seem to make a lot of difference to the results in low light conditions.

Too many decisions to make this year!! How to buy and what to buy?
Am just out or almost out of contract with Orange from purchase iPhone 5 but sold it last year and bought the 5s last year outright sim free from Apple. Bought 5s on interest free credit card and paid off now. I could the same as still have 6 months interest free left and drop my tariff to sim only or I could take out another 2 year contract and pay less for the phone (ideally around the price I sell the 5s for).
More confused though re which to buy. I definitely want to go for 128gb as my 64gb is full. 6+ will be tempting but not sure I want a phone or screen that big.............just the additional battery power. Or will that be used up power the larger display etc? I use a lot of battery power taking photos. iPhone for me is really a camera that I can make calls and check e-mails and FB on
For this reason I may wait until I can get to a store and feel both in my hands. Maybe when the Edinburgh Apple store finally opens. And then do I change colour from gold to space grey?

I am currently on a £10pm sim only with Tesco Mobile. I bought the iPhone 5 outright when it was released 2 years ago. I am tempted to buy the iPhone 6 64gb outright... but I am out of touch of what contract prices are for new release iPhones these days.
Can someone give me a rough indication of what they expect the contract costs to be. i.e. did anyone buy a iPhone 5S on contract on release last year?
