Does anyone know whether adding AppleCare causes a delay in getting the phone delivered in the same way that adding other accessories can?

I just don't think it's worth adding anything to an iPhone pre order.

Order your iPhone , then order Applecare separately would be my advice.

It may be different ordering Applecare with a phone, in that they may just register your device and there's nothing physical to send you (unlike a case for example), but I wouldn't personally take the risk.

Im not sure about the delay, sorry, but do you really need it any more? They have a declaration at the bottom of the iPhone page that links to the extended cover they are required to offer in the UK - 6 years in England and 5 in Scotland.

O2 offering 20GB data for £48/m on the iPhone 6.

Yeah that looks like the only price that's been revealed by any network.

We will probably find out today/tomorrow, obviously pre-orders are on Friday we are going to know about the costs before then.

Guys, does anyone know if it's possible to reserve an iPhone and pick it up from the Apple Store on release day? In other words, pre-order and pick up in store.

Thanks

Three have said they'll announce their plans on Friday when pre-orders start.

Omg! that is insanely expensive.

I cancelled my O2 iPhone 5 contract this week which was: £219 then £37 a month for 32GB iP5 with 600m 1GB.

It cost me £1,107 for my 5 for 24 months.

I am now on three 30 day rolling contract: £15 a month, Unlimited Data, 300 minutes (and I actually get 3G signal all the time).

I'm gonna buy an iP6 64GB (can't decide between grey and silver - help me) outright for £619. So my iP6 will cost me £979 over 24 months with unlimited data, and no contracts, so i can change carrier if i want.

Will be going for the iPhone 6 64Gb, probably Space Gray. Was tempted by white but the black looks so good again.

I'm on EE and get LTE nearly everywhere (I live near Heathrow). Speeds are insane - 80Mbps usually.

Unless they offer 20GB data for an affordable price, I'm switching to Three for unlimited data. I'll drop the 80Mbps to whatever Three is, just for the unlimited data.

If i but this through apple when will payment most likely be taken?

When you place the order Apple will put a hold on the amount on your credit card, which will mean they haven't taken the money but it's ring-fenced so you can't spend it. However, a hold is only valid for a few days, after which time they money will automatically show as available to you again (at which point people panic every year because they think their orders have been cancelled). Apple will then take the money off you when your phone is shipped - in reality I've found it's gone from my account either on the day it's delivered (hopefully release day) or even the next day. The bottom line is you need to make sure there's sufficient funds when you place the order, but the money won't actually be taken until the phone is shipped

Looks like Apple UK have changed the wording and now allowing to reserve and pickup in store

Checkout here:

The wording on Apple's retail store page suggests that you will be able to.

Also, does anyone know if going through this method will be for unlocked phones only or if you will be able to do in store upgrades too?

Saw an O2 tweet to someone and they said they'll reveal the prices before the pre-orders start to happen.

So I hope Vodafone follow suit so I can compare both networks.

With reserve for in store pickup - will there be a separate queue on the day for pickup or will we have to join the back of the queue with all the people buying on the day?

What's the deal for reserving online for store collection? Anyone know?? Or is it a case of waiting until Friday to find out??

Anybody know if you can name a specific day for pickup or will it have to be Sat 19th?
