I posted this in the Carphone Warehouse thread, but thought it might get more responses here:

I don't want to spark any panic, but I just rang CPW twice, both times the quality of the calls dropped to the point where we were cut off. During the first call, the woman I spoke to told me that they wouldn't have any 6 Plus stock in 64GB till October 13th. A different woman told me during my second phonecall that they should have enough stock for a Sept 19th delivery. Very confused and annoyed, and don't have the patience to call back again only for the phone line to be disconnected. Has anyone else spoken to them about this?

(Ordered by 8:45am on Friday. Received an email immediately, then a confirmation of the credit check around 9pm)

Try not to worry about it too much. If you've ordered your device that it stated "delivery September 19th" then you should get it then. I ordered over the phone and didn't receive an email. Did you order online or phone?

You can afford a £600 phone but are concerned about £1.99? With free delivery.

It's still not bad price if you think about it, I ordered one myself.

*£699. I'll probably order one anyways :)

I bagged one of these for 5p (yes-5p!!) for SWMBO's i6:

Cheeky beggars have had the audacity to stick it up to £8.99 now! :D

Yeh, I saw the post earlier in this thread and it was 5p. I thought I'd go home and order it later that day and they had the cheek to bump the price up (ok, maybe 5p is a little too cheap). I should've ordered it there and then.

Has your order been accepted? Send us some pics once you've received it.

Yeah, sorry about that, I literally saw it while browsing and thought I'd order it there and then!

It will suit SWMBO perfectly for 99p, while she decides on a 'long term' case.

Muchos brownie points for me though... ;)

Its cool mate, next time thought you see great deal like this, let us know! :D  ;)

I thought about placing an order earlier today for a 6 Plus as their website claimed they'd have stock for launch. I was highly skeptical, so searched Google / Twitter & found out they were having financial difficulties.

I really, really feel for the people who've pre-ordered with them, because if the cash has been taken there's a chance it has gone without a phone to show for it. Let's hope for good news from the administrators tomorrow.

BBC News website says this :

The company said established mobile contracts taken out through it would not be affected, although phones ordered and not despatched - for example anyone ordering the new iPhone 6 over the weekend - would be.

Double ouch.

FYI. Just requested new nano sim as my current one is too old for 4G usage?! (O2). Guy in O2 queried my request as in Cardiff-which doesn't have O2 4G coverage. I explained that I want to be prepared AND suprisingly that I use the phone outside of Wales!!! I asked what the official O2 line on 4G in Wales was...his response was " was supposed to arrive by October, but looking at being available by the end of the year". Not sure if this is credible or if this will just be the South East (Cardiff and alike)?

Any decent looking plain soft cases for the plus. Just need it for the gym, but the only good looking ones I can find are the Apple ones and they are too pricey. The other brands all have logos on them.

Order was accepted straight away and later that day I had a "Despatched" email.

I'm currently on hols in Jamaica, so the case will be at home before I am, but happy to put pics up if someone hasn't already done it.

LOL and people moan about Three coverage, they already have 4G in Swansea, Cardiff and Newport areas in southern Wales.

Does anyone know who Apple use for deliveries? I notice some buyers in the States can track their order via UPS despite it still showing as 'preparing to dispatch' on Apple's order status. Can we do any such thing in the UK?

Probably not because ours won't ship until Wednesday night because the phones will be already in the UK.

Does anyone know if Apple stores in the UK will have both the iPhone 6 and the 6+ on display on Friday? i'm going to be going to a Apple store near me on Saturday (20th) and i want to have a look at both models to decide which one to get. I very much doubt i will be able to get one on the Saturday because stock will probably sell out really fast, but i would like to at least see display models.

Am i the only one who think the Spigen screen protectors have wrong cutouts. It seems they've only cut for the proximity sensor and ignored the FaceTime camera cutout. Or rather they might've mixed them up.

Since the iPhone 5/5S had the camera on top but the 6/6+ seem to have it on the side of the earpiece

Also why haven't they wrapped around the home button.

Anyone know any other screen protector available for the 6/6+.

Me thinks Spigen's 1st batch don't quite cut it.

If it follows the same trend from previous years, I don´t think there will be any left on display. We never know...

You should, probably one of the best companies that make leather cases for iPhone and other phones too, I only go with them if I want something leather, yes Apple has their own leather cases now, but I am still sticking to Beyzacases :).

Check out their iPhone 5/s/c model cases, beautiful if you ask me.

I prefer Piel Frama to Beyza. I think they're better made.

my Spigen Neo Hybrid case came today and it looks very smart :D

Would of liked the metal version, but didn't like the Apple logo cut out.

Also bought the HiRise which imo is a little overpriced but it was the nicest one i could find.

No offense but I have looked at Piel Frama's designs and my god those are unbelievably hideous, even if they are better maid, I wouldn't buy them.

I'm going to the store on Friday but not until 11. By that time I expect all to be sold out so Saturday? Forget it.

UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

I'm with Three. I tried an EE sim, the 4G speeds were great, up to 20mb. I was getting 10-15mb on 3G with Three. I noticed with EE that when it dropped to 3G the speeds were a lot slower than with Three 3G, around 4mb. If you can get a constant EE 4G signal it's probably great. Though I noticed I got 1 bar all the time with EE on 4G and it was a bit delayed swapping to 3G. Decided to stick with Three.

If you get bad coverage on Three remember there is no 2G backup anymore. EE jumped to T-mobile and Orange.

A question for the Three dudes here: I'm on a iPhone 5 at the moment. I rarely get 4G with Three. Will I notice more coverage on the 6? I believe it covers more bands than the 5?
