UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

Well I'm not sure whether this CSA is believable as the Plus is definitely "coming out" on Friday. When did this happen - is it possible that you had missed the initial availability and he was trying to get you to signup with them rather than go elsewhere by telling you this?

In The queue, I kept hearing "replacement" and "£5.11" so when I got served I was expecting to pay £5.11 but she just handed me the SIM and adaptor on the spot and I said "free?" And she was like "yeah it's completely free"

It was also pre-activated so all I did was put in the new nano sim into the adaptor then my 3GS. Worked straight away.

Three are the best network IMO.

Really ?! That's great news ! I'll try to do that once I return from holidays back to the UK.

O2 Business is quoting eight weeks for a 64Gb Plus in Space Grey.

As long as it fits in the tray and all the contacts are in the right place it will work and you still have the fall back of going to get another if it goes wrong.

I did this first thing this morning. However there isn't anything the bank or Visa could do to stop the transaction. It's down to Phones4U now :(

How did you actually unlock the device? I was told to remove the sim and connect to itunes and I would be sent updated carrier settings to my phone.

I did all the above but never received the carrier settings. Any ideas!?
 
Have never bought an iPhone on launch day with a contract, so does anyone know the likelihood of walking into either o2 or a Three shop on Friday and picking one up on contract?

I hope he isn't, for everyone elses sakes! But I remember specifically looking at the sheet and in the Excel chart, all the Plus' were in red with the month October. Maybe that was for new orders? This was on Sunday afternoon.

I already had pre-ordered with o2, so he knew he had nothing to sell me :)

Unfortunately I know..I will be one of those waiting :mad:

I think I can get it from Apple quicker though, as I rang them today and the CSA said the 3-4 week time scale was to lighten expectations, they do expect to ship much earlier than that.

To think I cancelled my order with Apple because 02 said they will get it in to me by Friday...

Why would a CSA tell you that. Would they even know for sure?

I cannot imagine CPW getting 0 6 Pluses so it makes more sense that what you saw was for customers purchasing on Sunday or later.

Sheesh, that doesn't look good at all. Last year I went through CPW and had a very unpleasant time, so this year it was straight to Apple, mainly because I wanted an assured service, but also I need a completely unlocked phone, which CPW don't sell.
