I've never had a iPhone delivered from anyone other then Apple so I can't comment from personal experience but I wouldn't put much stock in any information from a call centre operative.

Hmm yeah, she wasnt really making much sense. Started banging on about stock from Apple etc etc, things I didnt really care about - I just wanted to know if their internal system had a sureshot date for delivery or not. And yet I dont seem to have obtained that!

Cant call back now as its too late / wont call back anyway as they're probably going to send me in circles again
 
The money has been gone for a while for some people. I reported that my charge went onto my statement back on page 149 of this thread (this morning).
 
Doesn't Apple usually take money as it gets shipped out? Maybe order tracking will come tomorrow (as expected)?
 
I wish EE would release a little more info or send a confirmation alert. I have been 'promised' on two occasions it'll be 19th delivery but still... The website does however say "delivery within 7 days", still.

Yes existing Three customer - ordered online at about 8pm on Friday. Went for the £19 upfront and £60 per month (ouch!) but I use the overseas roaming quite a lot in the States.
 
My order status has finally been updated to processing and is now showing a delivery date of 9th - 16th October. I'll be really disappointed if this is the case, my order was in just after 9am on Friday. I know there are delays because of using finance but having used it before I didn't think there would be anything like this. Looks like I've missed out on the first batch to arrive in the UK.
 
Thanks, luckily not paid giffgaff anything yet, might just take your advice. 3 claim to have good 3G coverage where I live and work, but not 4G yet in either. Hope they get on with it!

Another thing is GiffGaff have different goody bags specific to 4G data. So for that £20 a month you would get unlimited data but it would only be 3G. The 4G goody bags aren't very good. I have been a big fan of GiffGaff but think they are going downhill.

I ordered 2x 16gb pluses half an hour after they started phone preorders. So the advisor said. This was at least 2 hours before tariffs came on line. Still have my fingers crossed.

Yeah i got through at 8.10am, and they took my order and said they would call back to work out the best tariff with me, but i ended up calling back at 4pm as i hadn't heard from them... this pre-order just screams cluster **** to me :confused:

Ah, cool. I went for £50 p/m, Unlimited everything. £99 upfront. I dont mind as I'm on about £40 p/m at the moment for Unlimited texts & data but minutes limited to 600. I'm single now but when I was in a relationship, I was rinsing minutes really fast! At least I know I'll be covered when the tides change again :p

I caved in and phoned Three. Advisor started rambling on with some tale about how 'whatever date was shown during the preorder process is the one it will arrive on.' So I asked her to confirm what her screen said in front of her -- 3rd October. Not happy. She was adamant it would go back no further but even so.

Logged back into My3 online, still says September 19th for delivery yet 3rd October is when my new contract supposedly starts? Ugh.

If it had just said 3rd Oct from the get-go for delivery, I'd be annoyed but I'd accept it as I was a later preorder (Saturday 13th, 9AM), but this is all just really annoying.


My contract start date is 6th October. That is my normal monthly billing date. Still says 19th for the phone though. When I called on Saturday they initially offered £10 compensation but gave me a months rental credit in the end. I'm not going to speak to them again so I'll just wait and see if anything happens on Friday.

Ye I haven't really looked much at the 4G tariffs. I just remember an email a while back. To me the best thing about GiffGaff was they were cheap and gave unlimited data. I just hope three don't follow suit and hike prices/lower data.
 
Sorry if this has been answered but I reserved an iPhone for collection on Friday and I just wanted to make sure it was 100% guaranteed i'd get one (without queuing).

I literally just want to walk in, show them my details and pay for the phone (sim free).

I think this is the first time reservations have been available in the UK, right?

When I've had something dispatched from China from UPS and Apple, it has always been dispatched on the Monday, and been delivered on the Friday. Even it it wasn't a timed launch, such as with iPhones.

Ordering from Amazon China, I know that UPS can deliver things to the UK from China in 2 days.

I do still think our devices will be shipped out locally, and kept in a UPS hub or warehouse until Thursday evening though.

My normal billing date is 22nd/23rd (depending on the day it falls on) of each month so I'm not really sure what to make of Oct 3rd being coincidentally the supposed new contract start date and the date a lot of 6/6+ orders are getting pushed back to :( I suppose its not really much of a coincedence, just more signs pointing to an Oct 3rd delivery.

God knows why it says 19th on the My3 online page then. Had it said "Device launch date" or "release date" then I'd get it, but to say my delivery is 19th and then claim otherwise... BAH. Stressed now, off to bed I go!

Did you order online or over phone? I ordered on phone and I can see my new contract plan but the phone section says there has been a problem. No phone, date or anything.

Yeah same, so must just so it to the folk that upgraded/ordered online, aw well!

Apple only take the money out of your bank when its shipped right? So we must get a trackng number sometime tomorrow. If we don't tomorrow, I guess we'll just have to wait until we get our tracking #'s on the Wednesday/Thursday:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Payment date is 19 days after invoice/billing date so that is correct if you normally pay on the 22nd (3+19).
