in-store pickup

Yes i just spoke to apple store..

No Apple Store pick ups tomorrow..

Only home delivery tomorrow. Store pickups are store specific and we would need to go in and check with them.
 
I also got confirmation, that there's no pickups.

does anyone know anything about apple care + in the uk?

am i right in saying that you can buy it up to 60 days after you buy a phone?
 
Received an e-mail from Vodafone acknowledging my interest in the new iPhones.

But still no signs of any network publishing their prices which is annoying and I can't make a decision on what phone I want yet either.

in exactly the same boat. I want a 6+ but it will be decided but what the upfornt cost and tariffs are.

Absolutely NO chance of that, same day delivery is very expensive and only in a small part of the country. There is no way O2 would do that, if it's orders on the 19th it'll be delivered Monday (or maybe even Tuesday).
 
For those of you still confused.

Apple Store Online.

Pre-Order tomorrow (Friday 12th) 8:00am in the morning.

Receive it on release day (Friday 19th)

Ya I also thought about what I said and came to the same outcome, noway they'll do this, unless they ship it out from the day before and arrive by next day... which might never happen again lol.

Beside... I am in a sim online 1 month contract, so I am pre-ordering mine from apple directly in whatever time pre-order starts in Friday morning and wait for delivery on the next Friday the 19th.
 
If it's anything like the iPad mini retina release then you will be able to reserve and collect in store as soon as the stores have them (19th).

It was a pretty good system that told you which store had which models in stock, you simply reserved online and collected during a set time later that day and paid in store.

If I get a 6 then this will be my plan to get one on release day.
 
If you pre-order early enough you will get it on launch day, they will send it out on the Thursday to be delivered on the Friday.

its always been that way, pre-order on the 12th and if you managed to be one of the earliest buyers, you'll get your order by the 19th... as you said, they ship them on Thurday and delivery by next day with UPS, mine always delivered by UPS.
 
Right so it's definately ordering at 8am, no chance of being able to do it at midnight?

It's just that I remember being able to order at midnight for one of the iphone releases, and I'm sure then everyone thought you could only do it in the morning. Want to be prepared.

Do you mean pickups on Friday 19th?

Apple UK webpage states (http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/iphone/)

"Pre-order iPhone 6 and have it shipped to you for free, or reserve for pickup in store. You can also buy at the Apple Retail Store from 8:00 am on 19 September.*"

The Apple Store you spoke to said this isn't happening?
 
You may as well stay up until midnight just in case, but it looks like it will be 8am.

Does anyone have a link to a hands on in the silver colour? Can only find black and gold. The white front does look great.
 
Not sure what to do! I live 55 mins from Trafford Centre and I am off next friday. Should i get them delivered or go get em from the store?

I hate waiting for deliveries and it might not come all day/ at all.

Trafford Centre could be quite fun to go to and buy it from, can get breakfast out too...
 
According to EE, they will not release tariff prices until tomorrow 8AM. Seems like most networks are going to do this - not giving the public a chance to compare and choose the best deal.

if you're one of the very early people who pre-order their iphone, you'll get yours delivered by the 19th, what time? they don't give you a time frame, only all day... which what i have always done with my pre-orders, wake up very early in the pre-order day, and also wake up fairly early on delivery day, most the time the delivery guy comes around 11am ~ 3pm

Maybe its just me, but I find the 1gb ram in iPhones seem to be enough, it definitely feels that way with my current iPhone5, so I'm fine with choosing the 4.6 model.

its the iPad where I feel needs the extra oomph! My iPad 3 lags a lot now.

I know, but there are people on here thinking that if they pre-order the phones won't actually be shipped until the 19th thus missing the launch day.
