UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

I just registered to load off some of the hype, but I have a feeling the effect will be the oppositeHope I'm allowed to join you UK folks as a German?
Half an hour ago my DHL Express tracking changed to "Shipment information received", located in "Prague, Czech Republic". Alright then!

Isn't in English but is just another video showing the 6 in hand. I was really indecisive at first in respect of which colour to get, I think mainly because none of them are really special or exceptionally nice but the silver looks really really clean, am glad I got that one!
I'll be interested from people who have the gold as to whether it's like the gold on the 5s or not. I stayed away from the gold on the 6 because it looked too gold from the pictures, the gold on the 5 was more like a champagne colour which was really nice.

Syncreon tracking now working for me. Picked up at Hinckley at 06.45, ready for delivery tomorrow. Could be any time before 18.00, so not concerned now that it's imminent!

I really hope UKMail deliver (Sorry for the pun, this is no laughing matter!). Never had anything delivered by them before its always been UPS. Seems like Apple has had to diversify their delivery companies though due to the sheer demand.
Mine is still showing as awaiting collection / booked. Scratch that i just refreshed and it was collected at 9:28. Woo!

Ye they will be able to call you. But you'll probably have to call UPS and give over your phone number.
Apple have used both UK Mail and UPS for launch day deliveries for a few years now.
Last year was UK Mail for me, and before has been UPS. I believe due to volumes they have had to diversify for a while! Don't worry, either carrier, it will 99.9% be there tomorrow.
For an iPhone they might have a different policy because Apple are a VIP customer for them, they don't want any reports of stolen iPhones. That said, it just says 'signature required' so even if it's a neighbour's signature it might do.
If there's no way you can be in tomorrow, leave a signed and dated note authorising your neighbour to receive it. It's your best bet.

You're probably not going to get it at 6PM, this is their 'by end of day' time. My MBP was distributed via Syncreon (to UKMail) with the exact same 6PM time. Arrived around noon.Mine are scheduled for 18:00 delivery! Bastards, I've got to go out at 4

its the same every year, we all panic about everything, become totally irrational and lose all common sense of reality that this is a phone.
bit thats what we enjoy, and no doubt we will all come together to lose our minds next year.

bet that place has some decent security at the moment
I wouldn't count on the courier paying attention to a note pinned to a front door saying please deliver it elsewhere. Anyone could've written it. A specific signature is not required, but generally the signature does need to be received from someone at the address listed on the parcel...
That said, you might be lucky.
Edit: If you have a glass front door and pin the note to the inside facing out, you could have more luck.
