Incredible to think EE are cutting things so fine.

Apparently DPD may not send notifications for delivery tomorrow until around 6pm.

So, if like me, you need to be at home to accept the delivery, you can't arrange anything until this evening.

I've had to arrange to work from home tomorrow 'just in case' - and considering they are quoting delivery anytime within 21 days, with a notification the day before, there are going to be A LOT of missed deliveries.

That's about right though, really.
If they're accepting packages to ship up to 4pm, then their planners won't be able to route plan until everything is in. otherwise they'd just be constantly replanning or adding packages to the end of the run - highly inefficient.

At least you'll get a time slot with DPD. Most other couriers just give a day, so you can't plan any of your day at any point.

I'm one of the early 7-10 day dispatch orders:

It's dispatched now and will supposedly be delivered next Wednesday.

I hope this helps someone else in this 'batch' :)

Getting a time slot is nice, getting an alert that your package might be delivered the next day the evening before isn't so great when that alert could apparently arrive anytime in the next 21 days.

It basically means for the next 21 days EE customers who preordered early are in the dark every single day and can't manage their own time or arrangements.

Waiting on a package can sometimes be stressful enough, but a 21 day window where you only know the actual day the night before sounds wholly unnecessary. Especially when it seems other carriers are able to supply delivery info in a more timely manner.

when is your delivery date suppose to be?

Is your delivery supposed to be between 29/30 to 3rd October?

Given I placed the order on Friday 12th September, very early in the morning (but late enough to miss out on the release date delivery window) - I was quoted "Dispatched: 7-10 working days".

In my experience, Apple have never delivered late as they tend to over-estimate how long delivery will take.

So I would expect a dispatch on Friday 19/09 to Monday 22/09. So it's already ahead of schedule by one day. The delivery window was showing on the order status as 29/09 to 03/10 if I remember correctly. I do recall October showing on the "Your Orders" page.

The scheduled delivery date is on the screenshot: Wednesday 24/09.

I have an iPhone 6 reserved for pick up at Braehead Glasgow apple store tomorrow!! I had selected the carrier purchase option when reserving, but after looking around I can't seem to see any info as to whether they process upgrades or if it's only for new contract ourchases and what networks they can sell? Can anyone shed any light on this??

Do any of the carrier services actually give you a timed delivery?? If not then what's the point in tracking it?? Just sit back relax....do something interesting and wait for Friday to come along, stop panicking cos it will arrive tomorrow!!

This is true.

It's good to know who is delivering it though. Mine is with UK Mail, and I know that their local depot is quite handy to get to for me, unlike UPS, so if for any reason I miss the delivery tomorrow then arranging collection should be OK.

Other than that, I know they have my phone and will deliver it tomorrow. I'll just check in the morning that it goes to "out for delivery" and then I know there is nothing wrong and as long as the driver does his job properly then it will be fine.

Deliveries from DPD are different though. I can never help but keep checking where Dan, the driver, (they all seem to be called Dan) is and how many more packages he has to deliver before he gets to me. I tend to follow them even when it's something really boring being delivered.

If it is 7 to 10 business days then you are in the 29 -3rd Oct band and therefore early delivery, means my phone might be early too! :D

I edited my reply to you :)

It certainly seems that way! Fingers crossed for both of us and anyone else on the same plane/truck/crate.

We can be tracking buddies.

I was a 8:42am email 7-10 business days but mine says 30th - 3rd.....how did some people get 29th - 3rd? **confused**

@ Mike Wilson

Hi, did your Apple order page say dispatched and then from there you got the info on your screen shot?

Ordered mine from UK and just missed the 19/9 and got 7 to 10 delivery @ 30/9 to 3/10. Now here in Portugal it seems we may get them on 26th so in a right quandary as to which way to go!

Collected 10.17 (UK Mail)

Was getting nervous with all the people giving 9 collection times!!

Just think how much they must be scanning in if its taking this long for all our phones to be scanned.

I tracked using my shipping label 1ZW********* on UPS.
It says:

A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.

Thats about it.... till now...

So no one has an idea if UKMail does GPS tracking like DPD?

My moms had a lot of parcels form UK mail. She's never had GPS tracker. She did get a text today telling her delivery time for her parcel (not an iPhone) is coming between 10:30-11:30. She said it was rare she got a text with a time frame though. So wouldn't expect one tomorrow. I'm going out for a bit but told my mom to talk to the UK mail guy when he comes. Just tell him he can come as early as he wants tomorrow :D
