Great idea Steve! I did the same (had to remove the space in my postcode) and see a similar update. Looks like ours probably came off the line minutes apart

edit: 8:42am order time. showed 19/9 delivery when i clicked order, but moved to 7-10 days by the time I got to confirmation

Mine has been saying "preparing for shipment" for some time now. I presumed that it would be in a UK warehouse waiting to be picked up by carrier with that status changing earlier this week - perhaps for tomorrow despite the 30th September - 3rd October estimate... but alas no...

No change for a few days.

However on the off chance, I tracked on the UPS website using my Web Order number beginning with W and to my surprise can see it is actually coming from China. It is still over there now so doubt I will get it tomorrow was wishful thinking, but is looking like it will be Monday 22nd which is not so bad.

Please can you share the URL of the page you used to check this? I'm in a similar boat with a iPhone 6 ordered at 09:04, e.g. it's been showing as 'Preparing for Dispatch' for over 24 hours now with 'Delivery: 29 Sep, 2014 - 02 Oct, 2014 by Standard Shipping'.

Mine has been sitting as preparing for dispatch for past 24 hours, but still shows 19th for delivery.

Is it worth calling them again? This morning they just said its fine

ID required for delivery?

My phone is due to be delivered by UK Mail tomorrow, to my work address. Normally there is no problem having something signed for by the receptionist, but is there any danger that this will be different? I could leave my passport and a signed letter of authorisation with the receptionist if I had to, but I'd rather not if it's not needed.

Any ideas? 309 is UK Mail. Who do I track 832 with?

You should still be able to track with UKMail. Try the 832 delivery number in the 'Customer reference' box.

Hmm, my 309 number has disappeared from the tracking section on the Apple store order page. Tracking and delivery number are now the same. Bit strange!

EDIT: I see a few of you have this problem too! Will the 832 number work on UKMail, you reckon?

Officially dropped out of the race. I decided to upgrade through Vodafone after their phonecall this afternoon offering me a better deal to stay. They can't say when or how many iPhones they have, was told there's a slim chance I could still get it tomorrow, a bigger chance I could be waiting up to a month. But for saving money in the long run, I took it. Now I've gotta wait for my Carphone Warehouse EE phone to be delivered so I can return it to a store.
